Samantha Harris leaves 'Dancing with the Stars'

"Dancing with the Stars" co-host Samantha Harris is departing the show after eight seasons. Harris won't be back for "Dancing's" upcoming season, which starts March 22, an ABC rep confirms to Zap2it. The network says it hasn't settled on a replacement for her yet.
"It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Samantha since she joined the 'DWTS' team in season 2," executive producer Conrad Green says in a statement. "She will be much missed, but always part of the 'DWTS' family. We support her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors."
Harris tells People, which broke the story, that she's leaving "DWTS" to focus more on her other gigs -- she's a correspondent for "The Insider" and works at "Entertainment Tonight Weekend."
"I interned at 'Entertainment Tonight' 15 years ago, the summer after my sophomore year at Northwestern, and I dreamed of working in the same space as hosts Mary Hart and Mark Steines," she tells the magazine. "Now I'm living that dream."
She adds that her time on "Dancing with the Stars" "could not have been more of a dream job. I loved every single second of it, and I've made lifelong friends at the show."

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! I have hoped she would leave since season 2 . I just hope they don't hire Lisa Renna, that would be worse.
Samantha appeared to be a moving, speaking mannequin! She always appeared like a deer caught in the headlights and it was extremely uncomfortable to watch her! Just like Paula Abdul.. she never knew how to put 2 words together that made sense and she always slipped on her tongue!

I hope the show gets Drew Lachey as a replacement.. He did a phenominal job and could bring viewers back to the aging, ratings challenged show! (It's been losing viewers as is the Results show!)
Nancy O'Dell should replace her.

that said, there is part of me that will almost miss her lame ineptitude...well almost, but not really! :)
She seems sweet but was SO bad on that show. Oh I hope they get someone GOOD now. Don't settle ABC!!
Sometimes it was kind of painful to watch her. Especially in comparison with Tom who always has a funny line handy. She always had trouble keeping up. On the other hand, that exact thing was also kind of entertaining ;-)
Replace her with Kelly Monaco. She actually WON this show in Season 1. Plus, she already works for ABC.
