'Lost' sequel 'The Hunted Ones?'
Is there a "Lost" sequel called "The Hunted Ones" in the works? In Stephen King's mind there is.Zap2it's "Lost" scholar Ryan McGee has laid the hammer down on speculation about any continuations of the "Lost" franchise by Disney once the show is over this coming May.
But in Stephen King's newest book "Under the Dome," which is set a couple years in the future, a character makes mention of her TV viewing -- "Dancing with the Stars" and the "Lost" sequel "The Hunted Ones." It's a throwaway line in the book, but it gave us some pause.
First of all, thank God "Dancing with the Stars" will still be on a few years from now.
Secondly, what would "The Hunted Ones" be about?
I have two possible scenarios for that title. The first one is that our favorite flight 815 folks make it back to current civilization but are systematically hunted down by past versions, future versions or descendants of people they encountered on the island. I haven't worked out all the details yet but it could be compelling.
The second scenario I like is Jin and Sawyer traveling around the U.S. as bounty hunters in a mad-cap buddy comedy.
What do you guys think? Any speculation?

Give it a rest. You LOSTies are as bad as those folks who think they can see the face of Jesus or the Virgin Mary on a piece of toast.
"The Hunted Ones" would be about a group of cartoon survivors that do research work for Stephen King. They would hunt through pop culture references, be yellow and be called "The Simpletons"

Iggypop - your attempt at humor fails. That was unfunny, and untrue.
And there have never been devoted fans of anything before...moron.
The writer's on the show have said they like Stephen King. Horowitz sums up by commenting, "We're all very big Stephen King fans." JJ Abrams is adapting the Dark Tower Series... His books have been popped up on the show.
Yeah, there is no connection. Why would Stephen King have any inside information?
I am placing my bet. There will be a sequel.
Well, based on just how the series ended, there seems to be no way for the series to continue, minus the fact that there were questions that left unanswered. For example: SPOILERS ABOUT FINALE!!: if everyone is dead, why weren't everyone who died there to move on? What happened to those who left on the plane? What happens to Hugo, Ben, and Desmond?
My view on what the Hunted Ones could be about is the continuing life of Lapidus, Miles, Kate, Sawyer, and Claire off the island; and What goes on on the Island with Hugo as the overall protector, and who else is out there to get to the island... just food for thought.
Ok, I know it was meant as a joke and everything, but Jin died in the sub.
Though, a mad-cap buddy comedy thing where one of them is a rotting skeleton would open up so many punchline opportunities.

This is so much later know, but I think a good idea would be to go through the perspective of the DI - do multiple timelines/reality travel and have a series of histories showing different people the smoke monster (MIB) may have also attempted to become...as they would be 'the hunted ones'.
