'Lost': Cuse says no State of the Union conflict for premiere
"Lost" fans can rest easy -- the State of the Union conflict is no more."Lost" executive producer Carlton Cuse tweeted Friday (Jan. 8) afternoon, "No State of the Union conflict with LOST! We go Feb. 2!"
The premiere date for "Lost" was announced back on Nov. 19 but recent rumors have been swirling about when President Obama would make his annual State of the Union address, a speech for which networks will preempt primetime programming.
The debate has been whether the speech would broadcast Jan. 26 or Feb. 2. Since it's highly unlikely the White House would push the speech back to Feb. 9, it's looking like premiere of the final season of "Lost" is in the clear.
"American Idol," "NCIS," "The Good Wife" and 'the forgotten"... not so much. Though FOX may decide to go with "Idol" over Obama -- wouldn't be the first time.

Boo. Friggen. Ya.
yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaboyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I would watch Idol over TSOU address even if I wasn't a fan. Please FOX - give us an alternative to the crap that will be broadcasting on the other three networks!
Lost is total snorefest and I am glad this will be the last year we have to deal with it.
TJ Spike is a total snorefest and I am glad this will be the last post we have to deal with it.
fox should go with naomi wolf for once http://www.crassanova.com/2009/08/naomi-wolf-shut-up-and-kiss-me/
TJ Spike there is another way to not have to deal with LOST and thats not pay attention but you don't seem like the brightest individual.
