Justin Timberlake, Matt Morris' 'Hope for Haiti Now' cover of 'Hallelujah'
Justin Timberlake, you are the man. While every performer gave heartfelt performances for the "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon Friday (Jan. 22), the former 'N Sync member gave one of the most moving performances of the night.
Alongside Timberlake was a mystery man in a beanie whom some mistook for Dave Grohl or Ray LaMontagne. Some people on Twitter just resorted to calling him "other dude," tweeting things like, "Justin Timberlake, you're making me cry! (You too, other dude)" or "Justin Timberlake and...and...er, no idea who the other dude is!"
But in fact, that person was Matt Morris, who also has roots in the "Mickey Mouse Club" and is a successful songwriter and musician. He's written stuff for Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson's hit, "Miss Independent."

dude. i'm a music snob. but timberlake rocked this. total stylist. totally respectful of this song's provenance if maybe a stylist. ONLY complaint is that i would love to see him to the 5-6 verse, 8-10 minute version rather than the half song cut for tv version, but that's only because it was SO GOOD!

I'm a 55 year old grandmother, but tonight Justin and Matt gave me goosebumps. I heard Justin many times before, but this is the first time he truly moved me. I saw Matt for the first time on "Ellen" this week, and fell in love. I'll be adding this young man to my music collection. Thank you Justin and Matt.
