Jimmy Kimmel on 'Jay Leno': Fears? 'I fear the network will move my show to 10 o'clock'

jimmy-kimmel-jay-leno-show.jpgJimmy Kimmel really took Jay Leno to task on Thursday's 10 @ 10 segment on "The Jay Leno Show."

After confessing that at night he only watches "Oprah," Jimmy Kimmel finds any way he can to take a jab at Jay Leno and the NBC late night mess.

Regarding his Leno impression: "I hate to give away my secrets, but it's part Sylvester the Cat it's part Curly from the "Three Stooges" and part Scrappy Doo ... silly putty to make yourself a nice Dudley Do-Right chin."

His ideal interview: I'd like to do 12 @ 12 with you tomorrow night because I have lots of questions.

Best prank Jimmy Kimmel ever pulled: "I told a guy that five years from now I'm gonna give you my show and then when five years came, I gave it to him and then I took it back almost instantly. It was hilarious. I think he works at FOX or something now."

Wow. Our opinion of Jimmy Kimmel just skyrocketed. What do you guys think? Was he too harsh? Funny? Both?

Jimmy did a nice job making Jay squirm. I usually won't be watching Leno purposely, but I had to see this bit. Good for Jimmy. And I'm glad he (and previously Jack McBrayer the night before on the Tonight Show) pointed out that all the staff and band moved their families out to the west coast for a 7-month job, too, and now they're also out of a job.

if they cancel Conan I just might move to Kimmel to **** off NBC

Jimmy who?

that was really funny--Jay didn't know what to do. I'm glad the Jimmy took him to task because what he's doing to Conan just isn't right. Conans so much better.

You people who thought what Kimmel did being funny or good are rather cruel, heartless types, aren't you? Jay continues to be the nice guy and continually is portrayed as a villain.

I'll shout this from the rooftops wherever I go: if Conan hadn't forced this situation in 2004, this wouldn't be happening. Conan has no one to blame but CONAN.

Yeah, with Conan out of that time slot, I'll be catching Kimmel. And good for him for standing his ground. I get the impression that Leno expected him to back-peddle and kiss-up (you know, the way Leno would himself).

Just remember - You think Kimmel got over on Leno? He was on Jay's show and Jay didn't have to air it. It was intentionally funny. And you think Leno and staff were not aware of what his answers were going to be? You think his answers were not scripted? Wake up!

Kimmel was 'pee your pants' funny and dead on. The NBC pinheads take most of the blame for this situation, and Leno the rest.

it was all planned, jay was well aware of what was going to be said.

the blame should fall onto the NBC execs... if the execs thought Conan isn't good enough, they should not have promised him the Tonight Show even if Conan forced the situation.
