'Human Target' moves for State of the Union
The last-minute shelving of FOX's game show "Our Little Genius" and next week's State of the Union address could end up being a good thing for "Human Target."The president's annual address to Congress and the country will air at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Jan. 27. All of the big four broadcast networks (along with PBS and the cable news channels) will air it live, resulting in the usual schedule tweaking on the nets' part.
FOX had scheduled "Human Target" for 8 o'clock on the 27th, followed by an "American Idol's" Los Angeles auditions episode. Instead, though, both shows will move to Tuesday, Jan. 26, with "Idol" at 8 leading into "Human Target" at 9. ("Idol's" Dallas auditions will air at 8 p.m. on the 27th.)
That's good news for the "Human Target," which will get one more airing with an "Idol" lead-in feeing it viewers. The show premiered Sunday to a decent-sized audience of just over 10 million people. A repeat of the pilot on Tuesday night post-"Idol" did almost as well in viewers (9.2 million) and actually improved on the premiere's adults 18-49 rating.
The Tuesday "Human Target" replaces the season premiere of "Kitchen Nightmares," which will move to Friday, Jan. 29. That was scheduled to be the show's home all along -- it moved to Tuesday to replace "Our Little Genius," the game show FOX pulled at the last minute over concerns about potential improper communications with contestants.
The other networks' plans for Jan. 27 are as follows:
ABC: "Modern Family" and "The Middle" reruns at 8, State of the Union at 9, "Cougar Town" rerun at 10:30.
CBS: "Old Christine" and "Gary Unmarried" reruns at 8, State of the Union 9, "Two and a Half Men" rerun at 10:30.
NBC: "Mercy" rerun at 8, State of the Union coverage from 9 to 11.

Why is Scrubs being promoted as airing on the 27th and now they are airing a Modern Family rerun?
"That's good news for the 'Human Target,' which will get one more airing with an 'Idol' lead-in feeing it viewes." What?? Hire a proof-reader who can actually already!!
LOL Erika, what's "actually?" "Hire a proof-reader who can actually already!!"
i say take away the teleprompter and mircophone and let him deliver it by telepathy
Yes, I made a typo. Apologies to all those offended.
And Patrick - the change to a "Modern Family" rerun from "Scrubs" just happened earlier today. Listings and promos take a little bit to catch up.
@ Matt - Which is exactly my point. I'm not getting paid to write/publish stories on a website for a living. If so, I'd hire a proof-reader who can actually PROOFREAD already. Someone like yourself perhaps? 8-/
Does that mean... Kitchen Nightmares will air at 8PM then the series finale of DOLLHOUSE at 9PM next Friday?
Eric - other way around. "Dollhouse" at 8 and "Kitchen Nightmares" at 9, according to Fox.
You've been searching far and wide for that perfect home business, correct?
You want something that you could do totally from home, but if you're like me, you want to be able to get out and about once in a while too, right?
Plus, you want something where you don't alienate your family and friends trying to get started?
Well I think I may have the best of all the above

I have to admit that I couldn't have cared less about this show but I gave in and watched the first two episodes and it is freakin' AWESOME!!!! Human Target and Glee are the best new network shows of the year... FOX had a good development season for sure! I agree that this "professional" website could take the time to proof its stories before posting them... or at least edit them after mistakes have been pointed out by readers. The mistakes are STILL THERE even though the writer was able to take the time to post a comment to quasi-apologize for them. WTF? Fix the typos!!! Very unprofessional. I love Human Target, though.
