'House': Creator David Shore on Jennifer Morrison, House-Cuddy-Lucas and Wilson too
Oh, "House"!
The passion this show inspires from its fans is a beautiful thing, but can be a bit overwhelming at times.
This seems evident on the face of series creator David Shore in the interview you'll see below.
Shore, who is in many ways a genius and who obviously works very hard to keep the "House" world afloat, seemed just a tiny bit pained when KTV correspondent Marisa Roffman brought up the Jennifer Morrison situation at a recent FOX party.
Will we get resolution for the Cameron-Chase storyline now that Morrison is no longer with the show?, she wanted to know. "I hope so," said Shore, "I've sort of given up on talking about that because I only get in trouble when I talk about it."
But with Morrison returning to "House" for one episode later this season, sources tell me we will absolutely get resolution.
If my intel is correct and Morrison's special ep is the one which Hugh Laurie is directing, then Shore actually shared a little more on what we can expect from the hour: "There's a bit of a lock down in the hospital. It's an interesting
story. [There are] several smaller stories in one episode and Hugh's
going to direct them."
In fact, this goes along with what I've been told about Morrison's return ep, that an emergency at Princeton Plainsboro traps both employees and patients inside and no one is allowed to leave. The lock down may or may not put a certain former couple in a position where they're alone together for a long period of time.
But there is, of course, more to "House" than Cam and Chase, and Shore was very kind to discuss several of these other subjects.
Regarding House and Wilson living together, Shore revealed that they will continue to co-habitate for pretty much the whole season. He said he didn't want to give away the ending, but yes, we can expect them to stay roomies for some time.
He also talked about how much fun they had with the recent Wilson-centered episode and how much they like the upcoming Cuddy-centered ep. He said that doing more hours focused on other supporting characters is not out of the question: "It's great seeing House's world from somebody else's perspective."
Regarding Cuddy and her new man, Lucas, Shore shared that they will keep that going for a while, though they certainly haven't forgotten about Cuddy and House: "[Lucas and Cuddy will stay together] for the forseeable future. It's not going to be permanent, but yeah, I kinda like Lucas, so we'll see where it goes. I like House too. And I like House more. I'll tell you that much."
Thanks, Mr. Shore!

That's great you like Lucas Davis Shore because no one else does!!!! Glad he is not permanent though - best House news I have heard in a long while the fact we are stuck with him for he forseeable future though is disturbing, really disturbing. Guess what DS we like House too how about stoping wasting HL screen time on boring sub plots and characters like Lucas!
Oh, please. Shore has never said anything about Jennifer Morrison's status with the show, never did and it seems he has no intention to. You know if he's tired of being asked the same question over and over, imagine what Cameron's fans have been going through all these past months not knowing whether their favorite star had been fired or not because Shore refused to come out and speak the truth. The reason why people got angry is because they're being tired of being manipulated by House's producers. He can complain all he wants, but the way he dealt with Jennifer Morrison's exit was less than honest.
PS Somebody could tell Shore that what Jennifer Morrison's fans want is not resolution, they want continuance, not that he cares.
Great...Lucas will be there for the foreseeable future. Not permanent does not tell us when he'll leave. Hopefully, he'll be gone by the end of the season. Or else this is one viewer that will stop watching. I really don't understand why DS and KJ likes this Lucas. They seem to be the only ones.
Hey Belle! How about you (and those like you) just quit watching the series and spare us from your boorish comments. You're not INTELLIGENT! There are far more mature viewers than you moronic lot. David, keep up the excellent work.
Oh HOUSE-aphiles. This is a very nice interview from David Shore.
David Shore should try to learn what pleases the public House and Lucas definitely is not.
Only he enjoys Cuddy and Lucas together.
Is Michael Weston DS's secret love child? Is that why he likes Lucas and insists on keeping him when no one likes this character?
To T: far from moronic I am a fan of House who has been saddened by the badly written Lucas arc that the show runners have channelled House and it's characters into. I find Lucas character so far, badly written, poorly explained and just plain boring. His connection with Cuddy is also scantly explained or justified. I'm happy to go along with a plot if it makes scence or if the characters are engaging - Lucas is not. Therefore I would rather screen time not be wasted on a sub par character but be given to another House character that we can truly be interested in. I am praying things will get more interesting because if not then it means the writing in the Show is just getting worse and I will end up leaving the show out of boredom. By the way I am not a real shipper either so that factor doesn't even enter into my reasoning. I just like the show. I would like it more with less Lucas.
I'm sick and tired of huddies and hamerons. This show is about House not about ships so if you don't like it don't watch it. I'm not a shipper, I like Lucas and I'm enjoying the season so far.
Good job!
