'Grey's Anatomy': Izzie's back -- again
Katherine Heigl will be back on "Grey's Anatomy" in the new year -- at least for a little while.
ABC has released photos and a description of the show's Jan. 21 episode, and several of those photos feature Heigl's Izzie Stevens back at Seattle Grace-Mercy West. The episode description doesn't have a ton to say about it: "Izzie returns, hoping to reconcile with Alex."
Based on the evidence at hand, it looks like that goes reasonably well:
Also? Like the new haircut.
How long Heigl will be around is still anyone's guess. Heigl took a leave from "Grey's" in the fall to shoot a movie, and in November, reports circulated that she would be absent again so she could spend time with her newly adopted daughter. Those reports pegged her time off as "early 2010," which is, oh, around now.
The Jan. 21 episode was filmed prior to her maternity leave, so I guess we'll have to wait and see how long this stint of Izzie's lasts.

hate Grey's...but love Izzie's new haircut!
Is it just me or is the show
been better without her?
I'm sure it will all be very thrilling when I watch it via download later on in the year. ABC has dicked me over a few too many times recently for me to bother tuning into ANYTHING they air.
Oh My Gawd...kill her off already!!! I'm done with the very uninteresting Izzie character. Let's focus on the characters that really make this show ... Bailey... Yang... Sloane... Grey.... Oh, and the new Kim Raver character. She's hot. But can we please stop trying to bring Izzie back. You had many chances to get her out... enough already!!!
So long as she never leaves the show, I can tolerate this personal leave-s. You hear me, Izzie, I cannot take it if you leave the show. Losing George was too much already.
As long as Katherine Heigl still acting either in Grey or movies or both I'll follow her career whatever it takes her. Love this humble girl and congratulation on being a mum and runs a dog rescue foundation and generously donate her time and money in a real cause. 'This girl has a big heart' as spoken by her co-starred Justin Chambers.
From what I've heard, she's coming back for this episode and then leaving again for maternity leave. So, the reconciliation's going to be about two seconds long.
The show sucked without Katie. I really miss Izzie and Alex/Izzie. Hope she will come back soon.
