'Glee,' please call Justin Timberlake

Can "Glee" top itself for the best guest stars? Justin Timberlake would certain qualify.

There's just one problem.

"No one's asked me to be on 'Glee,'" Timberlake told E!'s Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet for the Screen Actors Guild awards Saturday (Jan. 23).

It's not the cast's fault. Both Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison expressed their interest in having the "SexyBack" singer visit William McKinley High.

"Okay, I'm on the phone," said Morrison when he discovered no on had reached out to Timberlake. "I'll get his number tonight."

We hope that such lighthearted red carpet banter will actually result in a gig for Timberlake. He's one of our favorite go-to guest performers -- cracking us up on "Saturday Night Live" or moving us on the "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon. He's just a solid, good performer, and we think he'd kill it on "Glee."

Maybe a new, older crush for Rachel?

"Glee" has had a good record for guest stars, including Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Groban, and coming up, Idina Menzel and Olivia Newton-John. There's also buzz that Neil Patrick Harris and Jennifer Lopez are being courted for cameos.

So yes, JT, let's make it happen. Who's down for that?
