The new film distributor, a division of the book publisher Hannover House, paid around $2 million for the Joel Schumacher project, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Narrated by Kiefer Sutherland, "Twelve" stars Crawford as White Mike, who begins dealing drugs to wealthy Manhattan teens. The cast also includes Emma Roberts, Ellen Barkin, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Rory Culkin.

As the Sundance Film Festival begins coming to a close, a couple more acquisitions were made.

The Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams romantic drama "Blue Valentine" has been nabbed by The Weinstein Co., beating out IFC Films and Sony Pictures Classics.

The film details in flashbacks, what appears too be a disintegrating marriage between Dean (Gosling) and Cindy (Williams).

Finally, the Oprah Winfrey Network OWN has acquired the documentary "Family Affair" by Chico David Covard that examines his own family history that includes an accidental shooting and abuse of his sisters by their dad.
