'Brothers & Sisters': Is a member of the Walker clan actually getting killed off?

Remember last season when rumors were running rampant about a big "Brothers & Sisters" death?

Well, actually, they weren't exactly rumors as the official ABC promos were promising a fatality in the family and we were left to wonder whom it would be...

Robert who was to suffer a heart attack? Robert and Kitty's adopted baby-to-be? Tommy who was sort of written out of the show already? Uncle Saul?

Turned out there was no actual death.

Sure, Robert flat-lined and apparently left this world for a millisecond or something. But all was eventually well.

However, the current Kitty-Robert bliss apparently won't last.

ABC confirmed today that Rob Lowe, who plays Robert, will be leaving "Brothers & Sisters" this season.

So is Senator McCallister truly not long for this world?

Though I have no inside storyline intel at this time, my uneducated guess would have to be yes. Given that Robert and Kitty have already worked through their mounds of marital problems and come out stronger on the other side, a viewer has to think it will be his health issues that end up off'ing him. Especially since he just recently announced his retirement from public office and no longer has a reason to fly off to Washington.

So is Kitty going to be a widow?

Can't you just see her running for Robert's vacated Senate seat to honor his name?

Sounds like a viable storyline, no?
