Ayla Brown to perform on 'Early Show' Jan. 26

Ayla Brown, daughter of newly-elected U.S. Senator Scott Brown and former "American Idol" semi-finalist, is coming to "The Early Show."

According to the CBS News site, Ayla Brown will perform "Pick It Up" live on the air Tuesday, Jan. 26. Brown has shot to fame recently due to her father's Senate race, colorful past, off-the-cuff availing of his daughters to eligible suitors and people realizing she was an "American Idol" semi-finalist.

We were fans of Ayla on "Idol" and thought she was good enough to make the Top 12 that year, but she just missed out. We will definitely be tuning into "The Early Show" on CBS to see if she's still got it -- we suspect that she does.
