'American Idol': Todrick Hall needs to rein in the schtick

Todrick Hall wowed the judges with his original song on "American Idol" -- all except for Simon (and Zap2it).Hall performed an original song about "Idol," name-dropping the judges and basically begging them to pick him. We were not fans and neither was Simon.
Todrick can obviously sing but we almost wanted him to get rejected just because of his ridiculous audition piece. He could've really done a nice job on, for example, "If I Ever Fall in Love" by Shai (which another auditionee slaughtered), but instead he had to get his "funny" schtick all over the place. Yuck.
We hope to see him in Hollywood, singing actual songs. And we think it's neat he was in "The Color Purple" with Fantasia.

Todrick was great!! He's very talented and has a musical background and is into music a lot. Check out his Facebook page. He is one of my FB friends. I hope he does well in Hollywood and I will be rooting for him.
On the scale of American Idol schtick this barely moves the needle. I'll take this any day over someone like Erika Rhodes and her ridiculous S&M routine. Simon clearly had no problem with HER.
I know Todrick and he has treated many people badly and regardless of how well he sings I and many others will not be voting for him. He treated a lot of children badly, that's what' so sad.
This guy is a scam artist and does not deserve his 15 minutes of fame. Yes he can sing, but he has cheated a lot of people (including kids). Believe me, I witnessed it first hand. AI should lose him quick because the scandal will not be pretty. Todrick knows the truth and it amazes me that he would put himself in the spotlight after what he has done.
Todrick Hall has been going around the US scamming children and their parents for the past few years.
Read the article from Tennessee which mirrors exactly what happened in Pittsburgh in May 2009.
Since the individual loss for parents is only $50 per kid, many have not sought to sue. However multiply that by the three thousand kids scammed last year, and he is well into six figure income.
I suggest other parents blog about their experience with Todrick Hall and state the city they were scammed at.
