'American Idol': Michael Lynche reportedly disqualified after dad violates confidentiality clause

Word is leaking that Michael Lynche has been removed from "American Idol" for violating the confidentiality clause. Spoilers after the jump.According to Joe's Place Blog, which seems to the dirt on "Idol" spoilers, contestant Michael Lynche has been removed because his father confirmed to a Tampa Bay paper that Michael made the Top 24, which is a big no-no in "Idol" land.
Supposedly Lynche has been replaced by Antwan Michael, another Top 50 contestant who was cut during the Chair of Doom round.
Intrigue! And why couldn't Michael's dad keep his mouth shut? Our dad would be in TROUBLE if he did that to us.
We're not really sure why this is grounds for dismissal, since the Top 24 leaks almost every year. But we suppose rules are rules. Still, it's a major bummer for Michael.

yeah, the losers that are much closer to the finals. this was pretty far out still, and this guys father may have just lost him potential super stardom. bummer for him. hope he is forgiving.
I wonder if he`ll be eligable to audition next year.

How would we know that statement if that information also wasn't leaked? Seems unfair that he would be DQ'd for something that obviously always happens. If anything, take legal action against the guy who leaked it, not the contestant.

if he was disqulified why is he still on there...mike is a really great singer i would pick him to listen to on the radio or t.v or whatever before i would listen to any of the other big mike has a wounderful voice...i see him makin it big....GOOOOO BIG MIKE.......
