'American Idol': Happy Birthday, Ellen DeGeneres!

Ellen DeGeneres, talk show host extraordinaire and "American Idol" judge, turns 52 Tuesday (Jan. 26).

Happy Birthday!

DeGeneres is such a spry 52, and if her lumbago doesn't flare up, we hope to see her boogie-ing up and down the aisles of her talk show for many more years to come.

In her 52 years on the earth, DeGeneres has accomplished much, besides heading her own self-titled sitcom and talk show:

• Won 12 Emmys
• Has hosted the Academy Awards, the Primetime Emmy Awards and the Grammys
• Named the People's Choice favorite talk show host and favorite female funny star
• Is the second person to share the cover of O Magazine with Oprah Winfrey after First Lady Michelle Obama
• Won an Annie award for voicing the befuddled fish Dory in "Finding Nemo"

DeGeneres' stint as an "Idol" judge will begin during Hollywood week. She's been taping those episodes concurrently with her talk show.
