'Amazing Race 16': Miss South Carolina Caitlin 'Caite' Upton is on the map
Former Miss South Carolina Caitlin Upton will take her pro-map stance to "The Amazing Race."The beauty queen and model, who now goes by Caite Upton, is racing with her fellow model-boyfriend Brent Horne for the 16th edition of the CBS competition show.
Upton, 20, if you recall, gave this infamous answer during the 2007 Miss Teen USA pageant when asked why one-fifth of Americans can't find the U.S. on a map:
Upton is somewhat more eloquent for her "Amazing Race" intro video, but you can see her get visibly flustered when she talks about getting angry and upset:
We've already noted that "Big Brother's" Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder will be racing as well. This will be a true meeting of the minds!

She seems sweet, devilishly cute and likeable here.
It's a shame our culture is full of losers who won't ever let someone forget that she got flustered in front of cameras once.
I guess people who are incapable of growth find it impossible to believe that others can evolve, learn and change.

What a moron!
I felt bad for her to begin with because I thought it was probably just a case of nerves that made her flub up but after watching several weeks of her on Amazing Race it makes me sad to see someone like her would even be picked to be in the running for Miss Teen America or whatever the title was. She is whiney, always seems to be pouting about something... is always blaming things on her boyfriend and she is actually not very smart.... she has said and thought so many stupid things it is ridiculous.
I hope John A. saw the episode last night. She thinks this'll teach everybody how SMART she is? And, really, who cares IF you're smart, Caite (which you're NOT...were you out of your comfort zone counting to 523?), if you're one of the nastiest people Race has ever had on? Robert Palmer sang, "A pretty face don't make no pretty heart..." You should be ashamed.
Caite may be a "beauty" queen, but she is ugly on the inside. Her constant hating on Carol and Brandy and whining about how everyone thought she was stupid only served to demonstrate what a small-minded, petty person she really is. She screwed up in the beauty contest,yes, but she should own it and stop whining!
