Adam Lambert's next TV move: Oprah or 'Glee'?

Adam-lambert-New-years-Eve-320.jpgIt's good to know that the more than five hundred FCC complaints (apparently several with some NSFW language) dug up by The Smoking Gun hasn't made Adam Lambert camera shy.

Rumors of his next TV appearance have been flooding the fantopia and Lambert has taken to Twitter to settle the chatter.

The bad news first: MTV reported in November of last year that 'Glee's' co-creator Ryan Murphy said they were in negotiations with the singer regarding a guest spot. Yet, even though the show's lead songstress Lea Michele has pleaded publicly for "Glambert" to appear on the hit Fox show, the "American Idol" runner-up tweeted this:

It's rumored that if he did accept the offer, Lambert would play the much-needed gay mentor to Kurt (played by Chris Colfer). What could have gone wrong in the negotiations? Sorry, gleeks.

Now, the good news: It's really not a shocker. Speculation that "The Oprah Winfrey Show" has approached Adam Lambert to guest has also been circulating. Reportedly, the show has not officially announced an offer, but "Glamberace" scooped them by tweeting:

Duh. Who says no to Oprah?

please be Oprah. Don't want him NEAR Glee!

Adam, please do NOT do GLEE.

I will watch Adam perform anytime, anywhere. He is truly a talented man and his voice is just remarkable. Besides that he is very down to earth, funny, honest and sweet. I love to watch his interviews as well. Adam Rocks!!

I google Adam's name every day for new bits of info, appearances, any crumb at all (lol)..yes I'm a proud Adam addict. So glad we will see and hear him on Oprah. I would love to see him be the guest performer on SNL..someday it will happen.

Very happy to hear Adam will be on Oprah! Also glad that the Glee thing is just a rumor. I think that would be too much type casting, especially now at the beginning of his career. Adam on True Blood would be amazing!

This guy would be a perfect fit for GLEE! I could so see him causing a rift in the school halls. Guys and Girls would be starring at him when he walked by. But this would be great for "Kurt" because it would give him a chance to have someone mentor him and help him realize more about his own character. That afterall is what Adam Lambert is all about. Be yourself and love who you are. A very Disney message for every kid straight, gay or bi. How could Glee say no to that?

I want to see Adam on everything. He would make a very hot, sexy rock god vampire. I would love to see him on 'Glee'. I think it would be fun to see Adam do a Conrad Birdie type character. The whole cast could reprise the movie 'Bye ,Bye, Birdie', There are so many great songs from that movie that they could all sing. Since most people don't remember that play/ movie it would be fun to reintroduce it. Conrad Birdie had that Elvis persona, like Adam. He would be adorable in that kind of role.

Adam would be great in glee. But it is up to Adam. It is a big deal which way his decision lay's. But Adam did say it is a rumor. Something will happen big for Adam Lambert when the time is right. He is the best out there right now. He could do better then Glee. I would settle only on the best situation. Do not single yourself out as just one role model. In the long run you need to be out there for all the people. Just my thought. Good Luck Adam. Smile!

To Jenn, who posted earlier: if you go to news.google.com, and search on Adam Lambert, you can actually save the "search" and Google will email you either once a day with all new stories on Adam, or you can choose to be sent an email as soon as a new story on Adam is posted online. That's what I use, which is very handy for keeping up with the latest Adam news! Just thought I'd pass that along...
