'Ugly Betty' bounces final 'Eastwick' episodes, 'Shark Tank' returns

The move of "Ugly Betty" to Wednesday nights will mean a sooner-than-expected end to ABC's underperforming series "Eastwick."ABC has also ordered up another round of its unscripted series "Shark Tank" to take "Betty's" place on Friday nights.
"Betty" will make its Wednesday debut at 10 p.m. ET Jan. 6, joining "The Middle," "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" to make a full night of comedy. That means the final two episodes of "Eastwick," which had been slated for Jan. 6 and 13, will get bumped off the schedule and into TV purgatory. The network doesn't have any plans at the moment to air the two episodes.
"Eastwick" has been the weakest of ABC's new series this fall, averaging only about 6.3 million viewers a week and a 2.2 rating in adults 18-49. (Even the already canceled "Hank" drew slightly more viewers, 6.7 million.) "Betty" has also struggled, drawing a little under 5.5 million viewers and a 1.6 in the demo on Fridays. ABC is betting that the new night and a more compatible lead-in will bump the show's ratings past those of "Eastwick."
As for "Shark Tank," it will get a five-episode run at 9 p.m. Fridays starting Jan. 8. ABC had five episodes remaining from the show's summer and fall run but has not put the show back into production.
ABC's midseason roster also includes a pair of new dramas, "The Deep End" and "Happy Town," and the Alyssa Milano comedy "Romantically Challenged," in addition to returning shows "Lost" and "The Bachelor."

Grrr.. I love both Ugly Betty and Eastwick. I hope they at least put the episodes on Hulu.
I love Eastwick! ABC needs to put the last two episodes somewhere and in a timely manner so that we won't forget what was happening. Look what happened with Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. By the time ABC burned off those final episodes, people forgot what was happening. Hopefully they will release all the episodes on DVD!

I still think Ugly Betty is pretty much done for. Eastwick was probably cheaper to make and I'll be a dime to a dozen that Ugly Betty will get about the same ratings as Eastwick. It ticks me off that ABC couldnt at least show the last remaining episodes on Friday night that just shows they don't care about viewer loyalty.
I too loved Eastwick. Probably would have done better in a earlier time slot.
Bring Eastwick back, and throw Ugly Betty into the Shark Tank! Or something like that.

I just got fully invested into Eastwick too! And now they're not even gonna air the last 2 episodes.
guess this is ABC's last desperate attempt to save a show that they will no doubt cancle at the end of the season.
