When will NBC finally kill off Heroes?!. It's not doing anything for the ratings. Put it out of its(our) misery already!

House is not doing that great in the demos

It's easy to lead FOX to the top of the heap in a night of reruns

So much for NBC hopes that Leno could win against reruns; Leno is an epic fail that gets more epic with each passing week. The only question now is when they will pull the plug.

Nice for House fans (like me) to see a small rebound in the ratings.

Also, interesting to keep an eye on is Castle's performance without DWTS's lead-in. Since it was a re-run, it's hard to draw any conclusions, but as re-runs go, I've seen much worse.

At NBC, the lack of performance of the entire lineup in spite of DWTS's exit from the grid shows once again what a series of mistakes it was to return Heroes, greenlight Trauma and put Leno at 10pm.

But no worries for the few NBC staffers still employed, Comcast made clear its desire to keep the top executive in place (clearly for his programming acumen ;) ).

@Pete: It's hard to gauge what NBC is going to do with the Leno failure. They have clearly stopped trying to spin the results (or maybe ABC's PR has just pushed NBC's off the front pages ;) ) and the results are clearly in line with another awful year for NBC, but the executives may yet hold on to a losing formula as clearly it seems like the way to go in Corporate Hollywood.

Considering House had the best across-the-board ratings of the night, I'd say it's doing quite well. True, just about everything else on the other networks were reruns or the expected holiday specials, but still...I've never been a fan of House myself, but I'm glad to see that fans of the show are still loyal to it.

As for Castle and CSI:Miami, the lower ratings for their respective rebroadcasts were about what I expected. Most people who watch both shows tend not to want to see episodes they just watched a few months back. The fact that a new Leno (at least I think it was new, I could be wrong) couldn't beat either one of them is just sad.

Fox probably should move Lie To Me to another night (which they may be doing once 24 starts back up). It loses way to much of its House lead-in to justify keeping it on Mondays. Maybe Wednesdays, when there doesn't seem to be quite as much on, or stick it after Bones, where it might be a better match than Fringe.

I'm amazed that we're this far into the season and there haven't been near as many shows cancelled as in past years. Maybe the execs are wising up and deciding to let shows catch on before giving them the axe without cause. Then again, seeing a studio executive showing actual intelligence is about as likely as Ann Coulter being invited as the keynote speaker for the next national GLAAD convention.

Oh, yeah, and Zap2It's new platform still sucks.

LOL, considering that 4.8 is almost 2 points down from the season premiere I'd say that yes, House has "many" loyal fans

"Is HOUSE even on that show was cool like 3 years ago, now embaressing to watch."
ITA! And being the lead is not a win on a night like this, these numbers are such a low for the show...

On a night of new episodes mixed with repeats and holiday fare (and against a premiere Monday Night Football matchup on cable) House was the night’s top show with adults 18-49 with a 4.8 rating.

Holiday classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas scored a 2.9 rating with adults 18-49 while the relatively newish Shrek The Halls averaged a 3.2 with adults 18-49.

As is typical CBS shows performed well in reruns, and a repeat of The Big Bang Theory with a 3.3 rating with adults 18-49 trailed House.

The Jay Leno Show claims one of its advantages is that it should do better against repeats, but last night against repeats of both Castle & CSI: Miami, Leno still came in 3rd with a 1.3 rating with adults 18-49.

Against lighter fare Heroes rebounded off recent lows, but I’m waiting to see what happens once the NFL game is stripped out (New Orleans market). Over on the CW Gossip Girl had a 2.9 rating with women 18-34, winning the 9pm hour in that demographic.
