TV ratings: 'CSI' and CBS roll to Thursday win
Fast National ratings for Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009With ABC already in December rerun mode, CBS had little competition in sweeping all three hours of primetime Thursday. FOX's "Bones," meanwhile, got a bit of a bump from guest star Zooey Deschanel.

CBS scored big numbers. ABC's reruns were an embarrassment
LaTisha, your nasty. Go watch CBS LOSER.
Wow, was ABC showing anything last night? Nice network. If reruns give you those ratings, why bother. You might as well show Wife Swap and other crap.
Great CSI episode. Great camera work, story line and, of course, THE WHO.
Given that low re-run numbers portend low first-run ratings in the medium term, ABC must be extremely worried that none of its new shows have caught on (time to unleash yet another "we're doing A-OK, Super-Duper All Smash Hits All The Time" campaign in the trades).
CSI was extremely strong yesterday and so was The Mentalist. Did they capture some of those ABC viewers? It would make sense as ABC lost many more viewers at 9 than at 8 or 10.
At CW, Vampire Diaries re-runs poorly, which I'm sure the press will be happy not to talk about.
At NBC, the Thursday lineup gets no traction even with ABC in re-runs. But don't worry fans, Jeff Zucker is staying so you can count on all those shows coming back to pretend yet again they're hits. ;)
Why doesn't everyone go read a book.
Against an all-repeat ABC line up, CBS won every hour and dominated the night’s adult 18-49 ratings. Both CBS and NBC were buoyed on Thursday by no ABC original competition.
Note: The NBC affiliate carried NFL football in the Cleveland market and the CBS affiliate carried the game in Pittsburgh. Those ratings will be removed from these numbers in the final ratings, so the preliminary numbers for NBC and CBS shows are subject to more than the typical revisions, likely downwards.
CBS‘ entire line up increased from its last original airings, Survivior: Samoa was up 10%, CSI was up 17% (vs. 11/19), and The Mentalist was up 3%.
NBC also got nice boosts vs. ABC repeats, Community was up 5% vs. last week (ties best rating at 8pm) , Parks & Recreation was up 10% (season high 18-49 rating), The Office was up 7%, 30 Rock was up 17% (season high 18-49 rating), and The Jay Leno Show was up 27% from last Thursday (highest Thursday since September 17). The folks with Leno Rage are likely fuming this morning, as Jay, as expected, crushed a repeat of Private Practice.
Bones was up 7% from last week to a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating which was a season high. Fringe slipped back 0.2 ratings points from last week to a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating, which is still slightly above its season average of 2.2.
With Flashfoward in reruns I switched back and forth to Survivor(Russell is awesome!) and Community(not funny)/Parks & Rec.(which was actually kinda funny).
CSI aired an interesting episode last night defying the 'typical procedural' critics. 'Survivor' is one of the best looking shows for big screen in a nature setting which is partially responsible for it's good ratings along with Russel but they lost a hot chick last night so that may hurt a little next week. I can't wait for 'V' to come back in March so I'll have an excuse to watch ABC again.
Wow look who's back Rena Moretti..... I feel so sorry for you. You must have no life. You might want to get out of the house every once in a while. So how many cats do you have? Last I heard was 12. Why not get your own blog? Leave this place!
No surprise that 9 of the top 10 single telecasts (measured by household rating) of 2009 (through Nov. 29) were NFL football, with the Academy Awards the only non-football telecast to crack the top 10. The United States of America is a football nation.
