'The Blind Side' scores a box-office touchdown
From the Los Angeles Times' Company Town:
A relatively modest post-holiday drop put box-office phenom "The Blind Side" at No. 1 on its third weekend in theaters.
Meanwhile, four new movies in wide release opened to less than $10 million each, meaning that despite their modest budgets, all will probably struggle to reach profitability. In limited release, however, Paramount Pictures saw a very strong start for its well-reviewed George Clooney drama "Up in the Air."

Its a damn good movie
Don't count New Moon out yet. The demo who loved it is busy with finals this weekend through next weekend. As soon as they get home from school they will head out to see New Moon again. And again. With old friends they haven't seen in awhile. At least that is the plans I am hearing.
Blind Side is the best movie I've seen in a very long time. Word of mouth is going to keep this one in theatres for a while.
Twilight can eat me. It is trite crap only successful because the general population is too stupid to notice.
The rural population is seeing it not just *young* people. I went to see it with my family and saw a bunch of *older* people in the theater with only a couple *young* people watchin the movie.

This movie looks great! They should make a fictional account of Susan Boyle's rise to fame. That ould be the best underdog story ever!
