'Sherlock Holmes': Robert Downey Jr. down for two sequels

robertdowneyjr_sherlockholmes_290.jpgNo plans are set in stone yet, but "Sherlock Holmes" star Robert Downey Jr. says there are storylines worked out for two sequels.

(Via Digital Spy). In an interview for the January issue of Empire magazine, Robert Downey Jr. says the people involved with "Sherlock Holmes," like himself, director Guy Ritchie and producer Joel Silver, "definitely know what we would like to do for the next two sequels."

Ritchie adds that the Sherlock Holmes novels provide "a reservoir of narrative that doesn't dry up over a hot summer."

Downey does temper the comments with a disclaimer that he "has no idea where anything is going to go." He goes on to say that he'd be happy to play "Iron Man" lead Tony Stark and Sherlock Holmes until he ostensibly retires.

We'd love to see, RDJ. We'd love to see it.

"Sherlock Holmes" hits theaters Christmas Day.
