Report: Kate Gosselin too controversial for Momlogic pilot

A Momlogic pilot including Kate Gosselin, Paula Deen, Lee Woodruff and Rene Syler has dropped Gosselin as one of the hosts -- for being too controversial. Radaronline is reporting that the show, billed as "The View" for working moms, decided Kate was too controversial for the show and didn't think that even as part of panel of women she was ready for a full-time hosting job.
Apparently the decision was not unanimous, as there was some behind-the-scenes arguing in favor of Kate staying with the show. We can see the argument in keeping her on the pilot. Jon, moreso than Kate, was the controversial Gosselin and she is sure to draw viewers, as she has come out of the "Jon & Kate" saga looking pretty good.
Fear not, Kate Gosselin lovers. She will be back on TLC in spring 2010 with her new show. The details of the show have not been released yet. We're hoping she just ditches the kids at grandma's house and takes off on a whirlwind adventure with Michelle Duggar, a la "Thelma and Louise." Without the car-off-the-cliff ending, of course.

Too bad. I feel bad for her that she is painted with the same brush as Jon. I think they would have a draw with her as people would want to see how she manages in a different venue
i dont feel bad...she cant raise her kids so why the hell should she get a show telling people how to raise theirs...screw telepictures....
I don't know any young mother who thinks of Kate Gosselin as a good mother. She is self-serving to the max and her line about doing it "for her kids" makes everyone I know laugh. She came out better than Jon? Well, that isn't saying much, now is it?
I cant wait to see the show to show everybody how much of a bish she really is without jon being there.
Kate Gosselin is too controversial because of Jon is not an exact statement. Sure people will always associate Kate with Jon, but Kate herself does not have the likability factor to pull off a TV spot without her 8. She is not the person viewers tuned into see, it was her kids. Without them, she is a no talent, monotone nobody. Her PR people must be in overdrive trying to get and keep her in the news.
Kate being too controversial for Momlogic pilot really has nothing to do with Jon and what he did. People dislike Kate for her nasty, greedy, narcissistic personality and that includes the way she treated Jon and, well, everyone she had contact with (including her kids). People feel Jon messed up AFTER Kate said she was through with him (within weeks of insisting they go through the vow renewal). However, inspite of this lapse in common sense, Jon is and always was the better of the two parents. Kate was too controlling and the kids were never allowed to just be kids (although she constantly said they were not acting, just being themselves). They were NOT being themselves, they were being the little 'model' kids Kate wanted. She proved on The View that she was 'uncapable' (her word on trip to FL) of hosting any kind of show (a host does NOT just talk about themself and in ANY conversation Kate has with anyone, she always relates the comments back to HER and her situations). She also showed a definite lack of the ability to be a 'media star' on Jay Leno last Friday. Her answers were lame to stupid. So, just like Season 5 fell flat with the focus being mainly on Kate (minus Jon AND kids), any show she has been or will be on will fall flat and the joy of this is NOW she can blame ONLY HERSELF. She wanted the spotlight and she has shown that she can't handle it on her own.

Why is she popular? She has no talent and needs to raise her children instead of leaving them with nannies, housekeepers, and gardeners while she seeks tv fame. But I do like the Thelma and Louise suggestion...
Like Kate. I give her alot of credit. Would not trade places with her for anything. The full support of the kids fall on Kate with no money from Jon. Kate always knew this, and she will do what ever it takes for her children.
