Regis Philbin 'Live' again in January

"Live with Regis and Kelly's" first show of 2010 will also be host Regis Philbin's first show back after hip surgery.

Philbin will return to "Live" full-time Monday (Jan. 4), the show says. (He and Kelly Ripa have been doing new openings this week, but the interview segments have been clips from past shows.)

Philbin underwent hip-replacement surgery on Dec. 1 and has missed a month's worth of shows while he was recuperating. During that time Kelly Ripa has hosted with a series of guest hosts, including Anderson Cooper, Jeff Probst and her husband, Mark Consuelos.

The 78-year-old Philbin has kept himself sharp during his recovery by phoning in a Top 10 list on "The Late Show with David Letterman."

Guests for Philbin's first week back include "Precious" star Gabourey Sidibe, Amy Adams, Jenna Elfman, Tim Allen and Katharine McPhee.
