Live 'Lost' chat returns on Monday, December 14
It's been a long time since the last live chat here on the "Lost" blog. Not as long as Sawyer and Co. spent ensconced in Dharmaville, but it's been a long time nonetheless. We've had a lot to discuss lately: that crazy Spanish promo, the release of the Season 5 DVDs for the show, the ongoing tension between fate and free will, and the hidden-in-plain sight presence of Jacob and The Man in Black in our "Light vs. Dark" series. It's high time we have ourselves a more interactive discussion!
So I'll be hosting a live chat here on Monday, December 14th, at 4 pm EST. You can either bookmark this particular entry for later use, or use the CoverItLive window below to create a reminder for yourself. I'll be here to chat about the above topics, give my thoughts one week into attending "Lost University," and my new obsession: turtles. Yes, turtles. Why? Because they go all the way down, that's why.
Curious about how that applies to "Lost"? Then come back Monday and find out! We're less than two months away from the beginning of the end. You're going to see a lot, and I do mean a LOT, more content as the season approaches here on Zap2it. More blog entries. More galleries. More chats. More BTRWRTH. Just more of everything.
And this chat should kick things off nicely, I think. Hope to see you here!
Ryan invites you to join the hundreds already in Zap2It's Guide to Lost Facebook group.

I wasn't able to participate live, but I just read the transcript have to give kudos for many of the quips, including Ryan's "And sometimes when they touch, the honesty's too much."
But as much as I'd like Adam & Eve to be Bernard and Rose, I don't see how that could have originally been Darlton's plan since A&E were introduced early in season 1 but (if memory serves correctly) we didn't meet Bernard until well into season two. (My assumption is that when they first mentioned A&E they didn't yet know that the show would be renewed for a second season and were only going to introduce the tailees if it was.)
Of course, since Rose did mention (to Jack) in season one -- in the fourth episode no less I believe (the superb "Walkabout") -- that she was sure that Bernard hadn't died, perhaps Bernard and Rose are A&E after all. Hmm.
Regarding Charlie's death "not being bad", however, my mind remains unchanged. If he hadn't disabled the interference the freighter would likely never have found the island, sparing so many lives. Further, he clearly had plenty of time to escape and close the door behind him.
(If you doubt this simply watch the scene again.)
(And then, in a tacit admission of this fact by Darlton, see how they re-edit the scene in subsequent "previously on Lost" segments to make it look like the door was closed before the hatch blew.)
Where is the transcript? Sad face.
It's right above. Click "Replay" and you'll see the whole thing!
