'Good Morning America': George Stephanopoulos' first day
"Good Morning America" welcomed new anchor George Stephanopoulos on Monday morning. How'd it go?The first story of the morning is President Obama's meeting with the bank executives today. Stephanopoulos interviews the President's Senior Advisor David Axelrod, who has Stephanopoulos' old office at the White House.
After addressing the President's plan to talk to the bankers about financial reform and the issue of bonuses, Axelrod gives Stephanopoulos a gift from everyone at the White House -- an alarm clock that is permanently set for 3:30 am.
JuJu Chang also took over the news desk. She's been a correspondent for ABC at "20/20" and for the last few years, so it isn't really anything new for her. She is still her professional, friendly self.
The big news is G-Steph joining the 'GMA' crew. Overall, we missed Diane Sawyer but Stephanopoulos was actually more likable than we were expecting him to be. How do you think George Stephanopoulos did on his first day?

Who cares about Steph's first day? TV news slow this Monday?
I watched gma this monrning and the great chemistry between the four was no where to be found!!! WHAT A MAJOR MISTAKE!!!! Why would you move two main people at the same time? Could it be that it might look bad for Diane if the show continued on without missing a beat!!!!After all she does have alot of important friends!!!!!
I actually miss Chris Cuomo, not Diane Sawyer. Chris gave the show a nice upbeat flavor. So far, I'm not getting that with GS.
I thought it was very rude not to pay any attention to Chris Cuomo when he was leaving the show. He is wonderful, as well. Attnetion should have been given to both Chris Cuomo and Diane Sawyer. It was inexcusable!
