'Dexter': Showtime takes extreme precautions to prevent finale spoilers
"Dexter" fans are merely days away from the show's fourth-season finale, and production sources tell Zap2it the network is unusually concerned about content from the episode leaking. Word is, there will be a turn so unexpected on Sunday that it will change the whole series.
Not surprising, considering this is "Dexter" we're talking about and the season has been loaded with twists.
A finale that doesn't trump what's already gone down would probably be considered a disappointment by fans.
But if the intense measures that Showtime has taken to protect the secrecy of what's in store are any indication, there's not much for viewers to worry about.
We're told non-disclosure agreements were signed by everyone on staff and at the network, decoy scripts were drafted and disseminated, each and every screener was watermarked and sets were closed to anyone that didn't absolutely have to be around during shooting.
Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

DEXTER IS THE BEST SHOW ON TV. TO CALL IT BORING IS A COMPLETE LAUGH. IT'S ANYTHING BUT.
Theories:
1. Deb finds out about Dexter.
2. Rita finds out about Dexter.
3. Kody kills someone.
4. Trinity is really Dexter's father.
5. Harry didn't commit suicide. Someone killed Harry.
6. Trinity kills Dexter, sort of.
7. Lundy isn't dead.
SPOILER FROM A PREVIEW SCENE There is a preview scene floating about that shows Deb getting really up close and personal with the link between Dexter and Ice Truck Killer. So perhaps Dexter dispatches of Trinity in the usual season-ending mannner but Deb figures out some of Dexter's activities?
In the books, Deb finds about about Dexter, and Cody and Astor also have "dark passengers". I'm hoping its one (or both) of those things.
Quaternity blabs in the middle of the station to the entire homicide department that he's the killer and dexter helped frame the other guy!

From the previews shown at the end of the last episode and the preview clip Showtime has allowed to make its way to the web, it's obvious that Dexter catches up with Trinity with his trusty syringe, Dexter gets arrested (for something), and Deb finds out who Dexter's mother is. Beyond that, it's anyone's guess. I don't think we have to worry about Dexter getting pinched for being a serial killer, though. The creators know Dexter fans don't tune in to see him in a prison cell or going through a trial.
I'm hoping the twist is that Rita and the kids bite the dust. (I know, I know, but it's only a TV show). I think that whole storyline...the marriage, "family life," etc. has nearly killed the show. The Dexter we've seen this season is not the one we've come to love and he needs to return....sans family.
I fuckin love dexter, its the best show on earth!! I'm sure the finale will shock is all and keep us wanting more!!
