Danny Gokey wishes us a 'Holy Night' for the holidays
Danny Gokey's may have only finished in third place on "American Idol,"
but he's not letting that get him down, judging from his new album title.
"My Best Days" will drop in early March 2010, but fans can pre-order from Gokey's official website now and get an autographed CD cover when it's released.
Until then, we can enjoy Gokey singing "O Holy Night" at a holiday party for his label in Nashville this past week.
In other "American Idol" news, Gokey's music is not on Adam Lambert's favorites list of 2009, according to MTV.com, but then again it hasn't officially been released. Which artists did make Lambert's radar for his fave songs of 2009? Check 'em out:
- The Black-Eyed Peas - "Boom Boom Pow"
- Pink - "Sober"
- Kings of Leon - "Use Somebody"
- Ke$ha - "Tik Tok"
So what does Lambert consider the album of his year? Lady Gaga's "The Fame" of course.
"I do love Lady Gaga, it's no secret," Lambert said. "Everyone knows that I get all obsessed over her."

What a beautiful version of O Holy Night from Danny, really love it.
I saw Danny live last week at a country western club. His new songs were great, the crowd was totally digging it. Look forward to his full album after picking up his single from iTunes yesterday.

Kara, when I saw Adam Lambert I saw a beautiful man and not a guy who like a female. So I think you need a glass on your eyes dear. That guy are really have the looks a sexy guy's a many heteros females love his body and his beautiful face. If you look Gokey it is sure a man But never he will more beautiful than Adam Lambert and sexy like Adam's and Im a heteros woman who have 2 beautiful childrens and BTW yes Dany have a good voice but Adam have amazing, powerful and in the same times softly voice than Dany will never have in all his life. thats it .Merry Christmas.

I have always loved Danny's rich, smoky, bluesy voice. The guy can definitely sing. Really looking forward to the album. So glad to see how well his single is doing.
O Holy Night is my favorite Christmas song. Gokey is NOT one of my favorite Idol contestants. But I figured even HE wouldn't mess this one up. WRONG! That was the all-time worst version I've ever heard. I hope to never hear Gokey's voice again!

You don't have to wait to hear Danny. Danny's debut single "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me" is available for download on Itunes NOW. It's a great song. Danny singing O Holy Night is Danny at his finest. Can't wait to buy his album.
