'Chuck' exclusive: Zachary Levi demonstrates his new skills
Zachary Levi will be in the center of the action on "Chuck" this year thanks to last spring's season-ending twist, and he's been training extensively to handle Chuck's newfound physical skills. You just wouldn't know it from the video below. Or maybe his Intersect was just on the fritz.
I visited the "Chuck" set in early December, when Levi was working on the season's 11th episode (about which I've been sworn to secrecy. Suffice to say it's a big one in terms of the season's overall arc). Between takes, Levi took some time to talk about how Intersect 2.0 affects Chuck.
"[It's] kind of like 'The Matrix' and Neo a little bit -- but not nearly as cool as that, because Chuck is just not the coolest character in the world," he says. The new Intersect, he adds, is "a little fritzy and glitchy, which lends itself to both the action and the comedy."
His move at the end of the video? Definitely on the comedy side. Take a look:
The "Chuck" countdown is now at a mere 11 days. The two-hour premiere is at 9 p.m. ET Sunday, Jan. 10.
