'American Idol': Adam Lambert on another best of '09 list; Kat McPhee does karaoke contest
Hot off the heels of being No. 5 on Barbara Walters 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009, Adam Lambert is moving up the charts again -- this time as one of MTV's Top 9 Men of the Year.
The "American Idol" runner-up beat out "Twilight's" Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson for the No. 3 spot. MTV.com is citing Lambert as possibly the biggest "Idol" star of all time, in the media outlets everywhere you looked in 2009. (Lautner is No. 4, Pattinson, No. 6, in case you were wondering.) Eminem, Drake, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne are also on the list. MTV will reveal the top two spots later this week.
What do you think? Is Lambert the biggest "Idol" contestant? Somehow Jennifer Hudson comes to mind instead, but that could just be us.
-- And speaking of Idol runner-ups, 2006 runner-up Katharine McPhee is doing her best to stay in the spotlight with a karaoke contest on Dailymotion. Kat's Karaoke Challenge centers on fans recording their own vocals for McPhee's rendition of "I'll Be Home For Christmas." Once they're done, fans then upload the finished product to the site.
The best video will be determined according to the total number of times the video is selected as a "favorite." The creator of the selected video will receive an iPod Touch as well as a personal phone call from McPhee.

Yes, Adam is the "biggest" Idol at 6'1". I think Jennifer is shorter than that. Seriously, Adam is and will always be the most fantastic talent to come out of the Idol machine. His talent is seriously over the top!

I love everything about Adam; however, I'm not really qualified to say if he's the biggest "Idol" contestant. I've only watched two seasons but "you guys, the media" have made up our minds for us, it's all Adam, all the time. It's not just the AMA controversy and that has gotten him in the news but lets face it his voice, composure, and stage presences has something to do with it as well!

What's up with all this gay-hate crap? Get a life! Have you ever really listened to him sing? Adam Lambert is by FAR the best music artist in more than 40 years (not just Idol) and he has an amazing voice and unbelievable talent. He's going to be iconic!
