'American Idol': Kelly Clarkson rides Taylor Swift's 'White Horse'
Kelly Clarkson can do anything and everything.
A slew of covers that were captured during soundchecks and pre-show performances during the original "American Idol" winner's recent "All I Ever Wanted Tour" have hit the Internet and color us impressed.
In addition to Hank Williams "Your Cheating Heart," Elvis Presley's "Always on My Mind," Rolling Stones "Wild Horses," Cranberries "Linger," Sheryl Crow's "My Favorite Mistake" and U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," the singer takes on 2009's Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift's "White Horse."

That's some mighty big company Miss Taylor is keeping. Of course, we
know Kelly is a fan since she wrote an open letter after the Kanye West
VMA incident telling Taylor that Kanye's just jealous that she outsells him.

Annechantal should take down those videos because Kelly and her people asked for those songs not to be leaked to the internet. They should respect Kelly's wishes.
Kelly and her people said they didn't want to SEE people recording the songs. Nothing was said about the songs going up on YouTube. Only people from the KCE are saying that, as they've been CHARGING fans for the songs and want to keep them to themselves and be greedy about the situation. If Kelly or her people contact me asking me to take the songs down, I will happily oblige. But until then, the songs are staying up.

Umm obviously Kelly would have recorded and released the covers if she were seeking royalties. In fact, I'm pretty sure that in order to be paid royalties, Kelly would have to purchase the catalogs. From a legal standpoint - no harm no foul. The worst offense here is that Kelly made the songs sound better than the originals. Good girl. But then again, she could probably make a whooping cough sound like music to my ears.
i like kelly but this song just doesnt fit her she is adding to many ad libs she is a good singer i just dont like her singing this song

I love her take on this song. I have heard some of the other covers and they are just great. This girl can cover anything and sing it well. I not sure how many other young singers out there could.
Clarkson is the best. I just cant get over how much soul she has and how talented she is. Awesome
Just because you get your hands on a performance does not give you the right to distribute it. Like Classical music, sure, it's been like hundreds of years since they were written, so you aren't going to be hearing from Mozart or Beethoven soon. But someone who performs that song can make a stink over who is distributing that song. It doesn't matter if you think you are clever for uploading, or if you like the artist or not, you are still infringing, and legal action could occur. Just because you haven't been caught yet, doesn't make you right.
