'American Idol' auditionee Jessika Baier killed in car accident

jessika-baier-290.jpgJessika Baier, a radio DJ in Jackson, MI who auditioned for last season's "American Idol," was killed early Tuesday morning in a car accident. She was 21 years old.

According to a statement given to Mlive by police office Sgt. Tony Cuevas, Jessika's vehicle "traveled into the median and struck an embankment, which caused the vehicle to go airborne and overturn." Baier was pronounced dead at the scene.

We actually remember Jessika from the Puerto Rico auditions last year. She sang "I Surrender" by Celine Dion and was a decent singer, but she chose a song too big for her voice. The judges liked her but not enough to send her to Hollywood. However, the audition did lead to a job offer as a local radio host at Jackson's WKHM-FM (105.3.).

Baier is the second Idol auditionee killed in a vehicle accident this year. Alexis Cohen was struck and killed by a drunk driver in July.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jessika's friends and family.

This is sad. :(

THERE IS AN IDOL CURSE!!!!!
WHEN PAULA LEFT PEOPLE STARTED
DYING!! BRING HER BACK!!!

My god, I've lost a great friend...

She was the most out going person I have ever met! I worked with Jessika for just a short time but became friends during that time. I actually talked to her the day b4 the accident happened. Crazy how life can be gone in the blink of an eye! My condolences to her family. She will be missed very dearly. Oh yeah, and they should have let her sing another song on idol. I've never in my life heard anyone sing as good as she could!! I know for sure she is in heaven singing and boppin her head lol.

Jessika is my cousin and will be missed by many. She was a very loving, outgoing and very beautiful person. I am sadden that I never got to know her as an adult. Our family will keep the family and friends in our prayers.

Our condolences to her family and friends. It is extra hard to lose someone so quickly, unexpectedly, especially a young healthy person. May God comofort them.We know life includes birth and death, but at times like this, grief is is real and those left behind need all the support they can have.

Idol did her no favors. She was an awsome women and friend to so many. She was an angle to her mother, grandparents, her entire family and so many friends. Kaylie is one of her angle wings.

Jessika was my cousin. She will be greatly missed and loved always. I haven't seen her much over the last few years, but she will always be in my heart. Love you always!!

I went to high school with Jessika's mom and her aunt Kelly was one of my best friends, so I was fortunate to have met jessika and have seen her off and on thru out the years. She always had a smile on her face, and was a beautiful singer. (She would have won idol!) My deepest heartfelt sympathy to her entire family, I can not even imagine what your going thru, but please know that my prayers are with you all.

First this isnt a curse, I dont know why someone would think of this as a joke.

Jessika had a crazy funny personality, I loved Listening to Her On 105.3 In the morning. Heehe her laugh was amazing. My prayers goes out to her family, I lost my cousin in a car crash earlier this year Monique Glaspie. So I can only Imagine whats Going On With Her Family.
So Sorry her life was taken early, but its God's calling.
