'American Idol': Adam Lambert tweets New Year's Eve Gridlock event not televised

If you are hoping to ring in the New Year with "American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert, you'd better book that ticket to Los Angeles.Adam Lambert is performing live at the Times Square Stage on a Hollywood backlot for Gridlock 2009 New Year's Eve, hosted by Pamela Anderson.
But he tweeted Sunday morning, Dec. 27, "unfortunately Gridlocked NYE will NOT be filmed/televised/streamed. It's a LIVE event only. Hope to see you there!!"
Bummer. After getting bumped from Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC, now we can't watch Adam Lambert at all! Take heart, though -- you can watch fellow "American Idol" season eight finalists Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta on Billboard's New Year's Eve on FOX performing live from the Las Vegas strip.
UPDATE: We previously said the Gridlock event was in New York City. It is actually in Los Angeles. We were thrown by the "Times Square Stage." We have corrected the error.

The ONLY reason I would have watched ABC's Rocking New Year's Eve show would have been to hear Lambert sing. No Lambert - no ratings for ABC.
I am the other way...if Adam had been on ABC, I wouldn't have watched. Now I will!
The Gridlock event is in Hollywood, not NY.
Gridlock takes place in Los Angeles, at the Paramount Studios NY City backlot, NOT actually in NYC.
Another person here boycotting New Year's Rockin' Eve because of Adam being dropped. Very disappointing that Gridlock will not be broadcast, filmed or streamed.
Well, we'll have to get together on AdamCastMedia or such and have an Adam year in review thingy. Of course I won't be watching any televised NYE event without Adam Lambert. FU ABC!
At least we can find comfort in the fact that Steven's crotch will be safe from any human contact. ;\
Next year they'll all be begging Adam to be on their shows! I will not be watching any other NYE broadcasts without Adam! They missed the boat...BIG TIME!!!!
