'American Idol': Adam Lambert tweets he's off ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel' and New Year's Eve show

"American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert tweeted Wednesday (Dec. 2), "Yes, sadly friends, ABC has canceled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE. :( don't blame them. It's the FCC heat."Apparently booting him off "Good Morning America" was not enough for ABC. Lambert's appearances on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and (we presume) "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest" have been canceled. You'd think Seacrest would have some sway there, maybe Dick Clark the stickler? Who knows.
Lambert assures us that he is still doing Leno and he's looking into something to do for New Year's Eve. CBS doesn't traditionally have a New Year's Eve show, but perhaps "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" would have Lambert. We're confident he'll have no problem lining up a gig.

Seacrest has no pull; he's just a tool.
I'd planned watch Jimmy Kimmel and the New Year's Rockin' Eve show, just for Adam. Wouldn't have watched either one otherwise. Now I won't have to. I'll be slow to watch anything else on ABC, either. Pathetic move on ABC's part. The main effect will be to drum up sympathy for Adam. Geez, you'd think he beat up his lover or something. Oh, wait...

but i do blame abc for not standing up to the fcc. do you think that janet jackson got banned from every performance after her superbowl scandal? no, because she's been famous longer and because she had her clothes ripped off by someone from the opposite sex. she then goes on to grab her own crotch and the crotch of a male dancer on the same ama show that adam lambert is being vilified for. this is blatant discrimination. no fcc complaints about what janet did. none for eminem glorifying raping 17 women. none for rhianna half naked and glorifying violence by toting guns on stage. only outrage is towards the gay performer. abc/disney/**** clark stand up to this and grow a pair. make a strong statement that a small, insignificant, bigoted portion of our society can't dictate how the rest of us lead our lives. if abc is laying low on booking adam, for fear of the fcc, well, shame on them. they get what they desreve, missing out on the #3 selling artist in the usa, who is gladly getting snapped up by all the other networks. i hope you are losing beaucoup bucks over this abc. you've already lost beaucoup respect.
Well, I blame Adam for putting ABC in this situation to begin with. Maybe he'll think twice next time he wants to throw a blow job or **** twiddle into his act.
I cannot stand it when people discriminate against gays, but this is clearly NOT an example of that. He freaking went on TV and simulated a blow job on a program that was supposed to be kid-friendly. Come on. Not even remotely appropriate. I do think the blurring of him kissing another guy was ridiculous, though.
I would also note that grabbing a crotch, which Michael Jackson and many others have done, is not in the same league as simulating a blow job.
