'American Idol': Adam Lambert explains his AMA actions on 'Ellen'
"American Idol" star Adam Lambert admits to being a little nervous before his now infamous AMA performance.
He told Ellen DeGeneres on her show Tuesday (Dec. 1), he didn't think about the act "as objectively as might have wanted to."
He said he tried to so something a little risque and in hindsight, maybe that wasn't the best "second impression" to make on a national, live broadcast.
Ellen weighs in on the event as well and admits if we're going to be offended by sexuality, one should be offended by ALL forms of sexuality. Touche' Ellen.
Hear more of Adam's explanation and what his parents said about the show.

It's not as simple as that though, is it? What say you?

I believe it is that simple. He did his thing and it didn't come off as he thought it would. People got bent out of shape and if you ask me over way to little. Move on. Tell me what is next for the performer.
I second that: it is that simple. Get over it. And buy the CD: it is great.
I can't believe this is still being talked about. Hopefully this will be the end of it.
Ditto on buying the CD, it really is good.
He, like all great artists, likes to dance on the edge. Buy his CD and listen to every note. Enjoy!!!
It's time to move on from this subject. Adam admitted his mistake so let's put this behind us and enjoy him for the amazing singer and entertainer that he is. For Your Entertainment is a brilliant album. Well done Adam!
I want to agree with those that say buy the album!!! FYE (the song he did on the AMA's) is one of my least favorite of the album. Songs like Sleepwalker, If I Had You and Soaked are already classics in my book. Keep going Adam! Nice interview as well.
nothing, nada, zip, zero was done in that performance that hasn't been done before-the controversy is publicity, but it has gotten to be stale. Anything new? Well, his CD is actually amazing, every track is good, it's diversified so it makes it's own fantastic playlist. Adam dosen't need the publicity anymore, his new official video for that song is a sizzler, take a look at that-it rocks.
I think he knew the entire act before hand and practiced it many times. Playing innocent is bs.
Getting tired of treating the performance as the greatest crime of the century. He didn't do anything wrong people. It is matter of taste, as he said. Get over it. This man is an amazing talent and his album is great. Go enjoy the music instead of wasting time getting stuck in the past.
I LIKE ADAM. HE CAN SING VERY WELL. I DIDN'T SEE THAT SHOW THE ONE EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT. WHERE CAN I FIND IT TO CRITIQUE IT? WE KNOW HE IS GAY. NO PROBLEM. MY CONCERN FOR HIM IS THAT IT WONT INTERFER WITH HIS SINGING AND PERFORMANCES IN PUBLIC THAT MIGHT BE A TURN OFF TO HIS AUDIANCE. HE IS YOUNG AND HAS A LONG CAREER AHEAD OF HIM. HOPE HE TAKES CARE OF HIMSELF.(AS SHOULD ALL OF US. ~TINAS
