For the first time since the incident with Chris Brown, Rihanna opened up about her physical abuse at the hands of her former boyfriend this week. The Barbadian singer told Diane Sawyer on "20/20" Friday (Nov. 6) night that she walked away from the relationship to be a good role model for her fans.

"That's embarassing that that's the type of person that I fell in love with," she said in the "GMA" interview.

But in case you missed any of the details, see the videos here...

The interviews were aired right along with Chris Brown giving his side of the story to MTV, after which he released a statement in which he says the details of the incident with Rihanna should remain a private matter between the two of them.

I'm watching it on youtube as we speak!

Poor little lamb. i can tell she is still in Love, O'' well try hooking up with someone else. She is still young, Hope she plays the field. ;(

Wow nice games thanks a lot
Really good job
Regards,

Let’s not front. It’s not coincidence that she did this interview 3 weeks before her album dropped and right after she released a couple singles. If you want to be cynical about celebrities and publicists and what’s being said, be equally critical of everything. I’m not questioning her right to speak, but I am dubious about her motives in doing so in November the month of her album release and promotion, and not in August, September, or October when all the legal proceedings had been finalized.

I said it once and I'll say it again...when I first heard about the beating I didn't believe it to be true. To this day I'm still skeptical about the whole thing even with the photo of Rihanna released by TMZ. If Chris Brown was driving, how the heck did he have Rihanna in a headlock, bit her, slap her, beat her in the left eye...etc etc. Why didn't she defended herself? Chris Brown didn't have a mark on him!

And this happened how many months ago and she seemed to want to forget it by staying out of the spotlight and taking trips home. Now she's reappearing right before her album drops for an interview? Not that I'm saying she's using the alleged beating for publicity, I'm finding it rather strange she wants to interview about it now after making several statements about wanting to keep things private.

LIFC (like i effing care)

to answer cris's question i watched every video and she explains that he parked the car when he beat her. thats how he got caught, she says he parked it in a neighborhood and they obviously heard her screams and called the cops. Men are alot stronger than women, maybe she was too scared to fight back because doing that could have made it worse(in a woman's point of view) ? Not saying that i know anymore than anyone else does because only chris and rihanna know what happened, you know?

my bad i meant ariel's question, sorry
