'Twilight: New Moon' premiere in Los Angeles skipped by Rachelle Lefevre
Despite starring in "Twilight's New Moon," one of the most buzzed about films of the year, Rachelle Lefevre was not celebrating with the other Twihards in Los Angeles' Westwood neighborhood for the big premiere Monday night.Instead, the redheaded actress was with her ailing dog Honey and still smarting from being replaced in "Eclipse," the upcoming third installment in the "Twilight" saga, by actress Bryce Dallas Howard.
Lefevre posted on her Twitter page Monday night: "2 fans at the premiere: w/ Honey in hospital & being fired from Eclipse tonight was just 2 emotional 4 me & I couldn't manage it. So sorry."
Lefevre had played vindictive vampire Victoria, whose role became even more significant in the third film when she creates an army of newborn vamps.
Summit Entertainment recast her, claiming that there was a scheduling conflict with her filming "Barney's Version." At the time, Lefevre had claimed she was "stunned" and that she would have accommodated the "Eclipse" shooting schedule since she was committed to it and since "Barney's Version" only required 10 days to shoot.
Your thoughts? Do you still thinks replacing Lefevre as Victoria bites?

Sorry, Bryce - it's not going to be the real Victoria up on the screen for me when I watch Eclipse. I think it's a case of someone being upset they turned down the original role for Twilight - and begged to be let back in.
I prefer Lefevre as Victoria. No, I haven't seen Howard, but I like Lefevre and thought she was one of the highlights on the first film.
It was a bad bad move. My only interest in the film series was for Lefevre, and replacing her after two films just doesn't make sense. They didn't recast Hermionie 2 films into Harry Potter.
That sucks and I feel bad for her, but I guess she should have made her intentions clear to producers about her schedule. I love Bryce, but I hate when characters are recast like this. It kind of takes you out of the film a bit. I think Rachelle was great as Victoria, so it's too bad she didn't get to continue, but BDH is a great actress and I'm looking forward to seeing her take.
She barely had any screen time in the first movie, people! What is all this, "I like her better as Victoria" nonsense?? I seriously think they could have replaced her with Howard in the second movie, and most fans wouldn't have noticed. In fact, most fans probably couldn't pick Lefevre out of a line-up.
Ridiculous.
IT TOTALLY SUCKS!! RACHELLE IS THE REAL VICTORIA!! OF COURSE IM STILL GONNA SEE ECLIPSE BUT IT'LL JUST BE A FAKE VICTORIA & THAT JUST BLOWS!!
I think it bites. Even though her role was small in the first movie, I put a face to the character, so it would be nice for the same actor/actress to be used in all the Twilight movies. Now if the actor/actress dies, then of course the role needs to be recast as was the case of Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies. Now nothing against Michael Gambon, but to me Richard Harris is Dumbledore. Anyway, it seems like Rachelle Lefevre could be used for the role for all the Twilight movies, and I thought she fit the role. She has a sultry voice with a wild and nomadic look. I think she will be missed, but fans of the series will continue to watch the movies regardless.
I was shocked and smelt a rat right away! I am VERY disappointed! I believe Rachelle is Victoria and I expect a big let down.
I think it's horribly unfortunate, and a travesty. Rachelle LeFevre truly had the cat-like quality to play her. At least certain cast mates will be pleased with the choice. The rest of us will be ignoring the replacement and thinking how much better it would be if the real Victoria still graced the screen as our favorite tenacious blood-lusting b****!
Yah it definitely sucks that she's not gonna be victoria. It sucks when in sequels they have different actors/actresses playing the same part as the previous actor/actress. It just doesn't seem as believable when they change the actor/actress in a sequel.
