'Three Rivers' diverted from CBS lineup
Well, they'll be dammed: Two weeks after CBS moved "Three Rivers" to later timeslot to try and drive ratings, the freshman hospital drama has been bumped from the schedule.
CBS today announced a repeat of "NCIS: Los Angeles" will replace the show on Dec. 6, with a repeat of "Criminal Minds" taking the slot on Dec. 13 and a "Cold Case" rebroadcast stepping in for Dec. 27.
While the network is calling the move a hiatus, the series has struggled in the ratings after its repurposed pilot episode garnered so-so numbers, so odds "Three Rivers" will return are slim. Only eight of the show's original 13 episodes have aired.
A surprisinly robust fan uprising failed to save star Alex O'Loughlin's vampire drama "Moonlight." We don't expect his second series' disappearance to gain as much notice.

With the opening in the prime time lineup, what better time to have an Adam Lambert X-mas special, where he can perform all of his greatest hits?
It wouldn't take long to a program together; he'll do what he wants on the program irrespective of what is planned anyway.

I feel bad for Alex; I hope he finds another vehicle that will survive. Maybe he should try cable! I hope another pilot comes his way--a good one. CBC never should have cancelled Moonlight.

Yeah, we complained about Moonlight because that was a great show (and AOL was great in that). But i'm not sorry to see boring 3 Rivers go. Still love Alex though.

Loved Moonlight.Wrote letters and mails to CBS because I wanted it back. I really don't care at all about Three Rivers.Whatever.Mick was exciting to watch , Three Rivers was sooo boring.
It is not surprising that Three Rivers may not return. Although a huge AL fan, this show had a slim to none chance of making it right from the beginning. The show got the shaft with an ill- planned pilot episode. Dr. Yablonski's character didn't have a chance to develop with what the writers did, or should I say, did not give him. When it could have been a drama with an edge, Three Rivers ran off the rails instead. CBS' Silver made a huge mistake in cancelling Moonlight for this lackluster medodrama.
I am not suprised that Three Rivers was taken off the air. I said from the start that something was off..BUT...I watched it every week to give it a chance and just when it started getting better they take it off air lol.. HUM..Oh and to CAROL PARRY...how the heck did they not see anything about Three Rivers...every time I turned around they had umpteen million ads up on tv and in magazines...everywhere I looked it was Three Rivers..I told my husband that we made such a stink over how they did not advertise Moonlight the right way that they are going way over board with Three Rivers to make a point.
I think that the time is ripe for trying to get another season of Moonlight. If CBS would at least give another season I think that they would cash in...We have Twilight which is a good series but its teens..Vampire Diaries is good also but its teens..you have True Blood which I like but it's weird in ways and way out there in the adult side of things. Moonlight was the only adult vampire show that was not going overboard with all the goo it had a good storyline between a man and woman and it was teen oriented the vampire was a man..I just think now is the time to get things going on having a second season if anything to at least give the fans a decent closing.
Like all lot of Alex fans I tried to like Three Rivers but it was just missing something. CBS just needs to get their head out off their *** and bring back moonlight!!
I can't believe the comments that Three Rivers was missing something or boring. My husband and I loved the show and are so upset that it's been cancelled. Doesn't surprise me that people were more interested in a show about Vampires. Just shows what our world has become...
Evil or good..Three Rivers was about giving the gift of life while a show about Vampires is about destroying a life. Sad...
