Taylor Swift's 'Forever & Always' kicks off the CMAs

taylorswift_2009cmas_290.jpgTaylor Swift, who at 19 is the youngest ever CMA nominee for Performer of the Year, kicked off the Wednesday (Nov. 11) night Country Music Awards with a performance of her song "Forever & Always."

Beginning with a video clip of "Access Hollywood's" Nancy O'Dell asking if she's ever named names of the boys who've done her wrong in her songs, Swift responds, "If guys don't want me to write songs about them they shouldn't do bad things."

While not as blatant as Miley Cyrus' Teen Choice Awards pole dance, Swift did slide down a pole, tosses about some furniture and flounces about while singing away.

We're assured she sounds much better recorded, but weren't terribly impressed by her live performance which sounded like she could use a few lessons in breath control.

Taylor went backwards with her performance tonight after her good performance on SNL.

Just not a real stong voice. She is cute and appeals to the younger crowd, but again not a real strong voice.

I saw her perform this song on her fearless tour and it was much better, she may have been having an off night

At least you knew she wasn't lip syncing

I think it was a tough voice night for her since she doesn't usually go around like that on stage.. it was very odd. The performance all together makes me question her, and she's my favorite artist.

I missed that part. I wish someone could send me a youtube link to listen to it. I have seen Taylor twice in concert and I loved it both times. I just wish I could be famous like she is.

Perhaps she fellated the rank and file of the voters. She's a fine talent and very pretty. She's done a lot to promote country music and the country music industry has rewarded her. I'd like to see her wear the bombshell brassiere.

Excuse me why is everyone freaking out and saying she was pole dancing at CMA's? My Six year old sister slides down a firepole is she slutty too?

She really has no clue how bad she is does she?
Somebody really needs to sit her down and tell her flat out she can not sing.

I didn't think it was that bad (compared to what i heard about it). The performance was a bit melodramatic, but the song and singing were okay. I don't see what the big deal is all about? get a grip ppl!!
