In other less-girly TV news ...
- According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO has renewed its political talk show "Real Time With Bill Maher" for an eighth season. It will debut on Friday, Feb. 19th at 9 p.m., an hour earlier than its previous time slot.
- NBC and the people behind the "Top Chef" franchise will launch "The United Plates of America." We kid you not. That's the name, well, working title anyway. We're scared/hopeful it sticks. As you may suspect, it's a culinary reality competition show in which the winner will launch their own chain of restaurants. THR called the prize "the biggest in reality show history."
