Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade welcomes 'American Idol' Katharine McPhee and more!

"American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee and "30 Rock" star Jane Krakowski are just two of the cavalcade of stars performing at the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Rehearsal footage below.

Katharine McPhee, sporting her new sassy blonde 'do, is singing her new single "Had It All." We're not gonna lie... we had the McPheever during season 5 of "American Idol." Jane Krakowski is performing a Christmas tune. She may play a ditzy spoiled celeb on "30 Rock," but in real-life Krakowski is quite the songbird.

Other performers include Alan Cumming, Andrea Bocelli, Boys Like Girls, Billy Currington, Carly Simon, Charlie Brown, Linus & Lucy, DJ Lance Rock, Gloria Gaynor, Grandma, Bello & the Big Apple Circus Cast, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, Keke Palmer, Kermit the Frog & Tiffany Thornton, Miss America Katie Stam, Mitchel Musso, Ronald McDonald and McKids, Santa and Mrs. Claus, Seneca Dance Group, Sesame Street Cast and Muppets, Smurfette and Papa Smurf, The Pizzarelli Quartet, The Cast of "Yo Gabba Gabba" and Ziggy Marley with Judah Marley.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade starts on CBS and NBC at noon ET/9 am PT.

Why is mcPhee singing? Maybe because she's gorgeous and has a great voice, and she'll be entertaining to look at and listen to. What more do you need?

Couldn't they have gotten... let's say an American Idol winner? If they were going to get a runner up, why did they go with one from like 5 years ago? Her music career is going nowhere.

Katharine was chosen because, she's ending up outshining all of the others at this point.
From pure raw talent, to the whole rest of the package that Hollywood seeks (expects). She's becoming quite in demand!! Plus, she's actually a very cool person.
She'll go further than Kelly! Love the jacket as well, and I change my hair color, too, occasionally!
