'Life UneXpected' promo looks pretty good for The CW
"Life UneXpected" just might bring the heart The CW needs in its lineup. Not to say that shows like "Supernatural" and "Gossip Girl" lack their "aww" moments, but they're not exactly what you'd call fun for the whole family viewing. That definitely includes the dearly departed "The Beautiful Life," the short-lived model drama starring Mischa Barton and Sara Paxton.
We kept our fingers crossed for "Life UneXpected," which revolves around a teen named Lux (Britt Robertson) who tracks down her biological parents -- Cate (Shiri Appleby), a successful talk radio personality, and Baze (Kristoffer Polaha), a bar owner -- who haven't seen each other since high school.
Check out a promo for the series:
Looks pretty good, right? Our favorite line, tiny Appleby to Robertson: "You're big!" They actually seem believable as a family.
"Life UneXpected" premieres on Monday, Jan. 18, replacing "Gossip Girl" temporarily before moving into "One Tree Hill's" spot. The three shows will time-share Monday nights so there are less repeats.
We'll be watching. Will you?

I was prepared to not like this show since it got picked up and Body Politic didn't but it looks like it might be pretty decent. I'll definitely give it a try!
What an unexpected surprise!
This really looks interesting, I miss this kind of shows. CW is already saturated with “scandalous, wild’ teen-oriented shows.
Looks very interesting but "Beautiful Life" was certainly not something for the while family, it was more like Gossip Girl with models.
I'll definitely watch it.
And yes, they pretty much look very believable as a family.
And agree with the "You are big" line. Loved it.
Looks like the CW has actually produced a watchable new show. Will have to fit in into my already tight Monday night DVR schedule.
I am going to watch it, it looks good.
look really good!!!
I'm excited about this show. The CW needs shows with heart like this one. I love fashion, but dramas should be about more than just that.
Looks really good. I'll be sure to watch the show.
This show was shot on location in Portland, Oregon last spring and from the few shots, really depicts that city's character. Nice to see that a quality show will be set there!
