Jon Gosselin begs Kate's forgiveness, confirms break with Hailey

Jon Gosselin appeared in New York yesterday (Nov. 1) -- with his new buddy Rabbi Shmuley Boteach -- to apologize to Kate and ask her forgiveness.Gawker has video of the forum where Jon Gosselin apologizes for his misdeeds. Says Gosselin, "Half the stuff I've done, if I look at my moral compass, I shouldn't have done. I know that, but I did it anyway. It's like fame canceled out conviction. I didn't grow up this way. But I have to keep on going, keep on working and providing."
Gosselin goes on to issue an actual apology to Kate. "I want to apologize to Kate in private. I'll apologize to her for openly having relationships in the public eye. That was a huge mistake, because if she would've done that to me, I would have been extremely pissed off. Now that I think about it, it was a very wrong thing to do. I definitely regret it."
He goes on to confirm that he and Hailey Glassman are indeed on a break in order to slow things down until the divorce between himself and Kate is final, but that he loves Hailey.
Hmm. Mark us down as "skeptical." Let's hope he doesn't take this "break" as an opportunity to sleep with the cute girl from the copy place.
What do we think, gang? Believe him? Or is this just an attempt to drag himself out of the d-bag hole he's dug?

This whole thing is so sick. Does anyone really believe he is sorry about anything? Gag a maggot!! Now he has dragged a poor rabbi in on his scummy mess. He says he is sorry but the first time he gets a chance he is back to bad mouthing Kate with the only ammo he has left, "but she was the one who filed for divorce, not me. Like that is supposed to mean anything. Why wouldn't she file when he is out $crewing all the floozies in sight.
