Jessica Simpson disses 'Melrose Place' on Twitter
Apparently Jessica Simpson is quite the bitter Betty that her sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz was evicted from "Melrose Place." Jessica tweeted Sunday night, "CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with, but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press."
Let's break this down, shall we?
First of all, I'm sure the lowest-rated show on TV (starring your sister) appreciates that you wait to watch.
Secondly, "That 70s Show," "Employee of the Month" and "The Dukes of Hazzard" would like a word with you.
Finally, the only press your sister got "Melrose Place" was because of how extraordinarily bad she was. Her one expression on the show? "Crazy Eyes." (See, she's doing it up there too. Maybe it's the only expression she can make in LIFE.)
Some of Jessica's other tweets include comparing her mom Tina to Sally Field (on "Brothers & Sisters"), telling us she has worn "butt pads" (whatever those are) and "Everyone watch my beautiful sister be a creepy bitch on Melrose Place tonight!!!" As Meatloaf said, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Jessica, you haven't done anything special except make a fool out your dumb self on a reality show. All of your movies SUCKED like your sister's acting.
See...I try to have sympathy for the girl, as the media pounced on her weight gain(which I found deplorable) and there she goes with that mouth and 1/4 of a brain. If you aren't singing, there's no reason for you to be opening that mouth.
I'll preface by saying I like Melrose because I loved the original and I can see the trashy potential in the new one, which is why I watch. It's one of the only low brow forms of media I consume. I can't believe I'm saying this because I have an aversion the the Simpson sisters and everbody/thing in that ultra mainstream media, music area, but I actually think Ashlee's character is the only truly 'Melrosey' person of the next generation characters. She has Kimberly (Marcia Cross) potential! They should have fired the lame Andrew Shue-like Jonah.
Also, I'm stoked on the return of Amanda (Heather Locklear)!!
Melrose isn't watched for it's acting!
She is just trying to protect her sister. Jessica is "popular" because of her reality show with Nick back in the day because before that nobody cared about her.
Ashlee is "popular" because of her sister.
These nitwits are in the media not because of their talent but because of what they wear and what they do.
I HIGHLY disagree with Ashlee being a "bad" actress on that show. While I am not a fan of Ashlee Simpson in general, her character was the most interesting character of the season thus far. I have watched 6 episodes and I'm DONE with the show because they are far from being anything close to what the old Melrose Place used to be. This show is just another transparent Gossip Girl with a cast of boring one dimensional characters except for Ashlee's Violet and Colin's "Auggie" (who they also fired!). The show is garbage and the two actors should feel relieved to be done with this disaster
Well, Jessie, way to burn bridges! It's not like the acting offers are flooding to the Simpsons' door (for good reason). And now you diss an entire network geared to YOUR so-called "audience"...and owned by mega-studios CBS and Warner Bros.?
Honey, we always suspected you were a complete idiot. Now, you've opened you freakin' tweetin' mouth and removed all doubt.
Oh, and incidentally...didn't Ashlee say she knew all along that her character was short-term? Was she lying? Covering up? And, btw, I tend to agree with you about the writing...it has sucked...but sweetie, we sure don't need someone of your low-talent ilk to point it out. Sheesh.
Great points Andrea. By the way, Melrose Place would've been a hit for the CW if not for Ashlee's bad acting, when it debuted, it got the same amount of viewers and the same 18-49 demo as 90210, then they got notice of Ashlee's bad acting and it went down and down. It will rise again. BTW, I'm 26 and I used to watch Melrose Place when I was 10 years old with my sister, we would watch 90210 and then Melrose as kids, so I'm kind of tired of people assuming that those in the 18-34 never watched Melrose Place and that Heather Locklear has no draw for those in my age group cause not everybody had overprotective parents and a lot of us who are still young did watch this show as kids and still watch it now on the CW. That's all I wanted to say hehe =)
Sorry Andrea I usually like what you have to say on other shows you report on but Ashley played her character with what she was given. I am sorry to say but Crazy eyes is the only way she could have gone with the dialogue that was written for her. Jessica only defending her sister by venting and who wouldn't do that for family. I also thought that Violet was the only redeeming character on the show.
I think MP is a lot better than ppl are giving it credit for. I just think how bad 90210 is made ppl not want to take a chance on another CW remake. But, if you actually watched it, MP is way better than that crapfest 90210 remake ever was. and Ashlee wasn't that bad, they should've kept both her and Colin.
