Twitter'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Private Practice' cross over again
The doctors of Seattle Grace-Mercy West and Oceanside Wellness will be racking up some more frequent flyer miles between L.A. and Seattle later this season."Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" will cross over again in early 2010, with former lovers Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) and Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) popping up on each other's shows, the network confirms.
The crossover will begin with Addison heading to Seattle for a surgery on a young patient (Leven Rambin of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"). Sloan will then travel to Oceanside for followup. We're going to assume that a healthy dose of commentary on their past will be part of the action as well.
"Grey's Anatomy" and its spinoff have made a semi-regular habit of crossing into one another's worlds since "Private Practice" began in fall 2007. The two shows did a two-week crossover last February, and Walsh also made an appearance on "Grey's" in May 2008. James Pickens Jr. did a cameo on the "Private Practice" series premiere, and Chandra Wilson guested as Bailey earlier this season.
ABC hasn't set an airdate for the latest crossover, but it's likely to run shortly after the new year.

I wish they'd just cancel PP and bring Kate Walsh back to Grey's.
I guess these crossovers are good, because they get me to watch PRIVATE PRACTICE. That show needs all the help it can get. Such unsympathetic characters, such weak attempts at storylines.
ABC cancels PUSHING DAISIES but leaves this pathetic excuse for a show on. Total injustice.
It's sad. I like Addison so much, but the crossovers are disruptive for me and really add nothing to the growth of any of the characters involved. The last 3 part episode left me shaking my head. I love Addison growing and moving on with Practice. Everytime she's back on GA, she steps back a few steps in terms of development, and never in a good way:(
I find it pathetic that ABC and Shonda continue to use GA to prop up PP. Let the show stand or fail on its own. I enjoy the character of Bailey and Mark, but I didn’t watch the crossover with Bailey and won’t watch the one with Mark either. I liked the character of Addison on GA until the pilot episode of PP which they shoved down our throats and called it a GA episode.
Whatever, great shows and its a great idea... People are so bitter, get a life.
I'm so eXcited about this cross over. I can't wait to have some Addison and Mark interaction, the chemistry between them is AMAZING! GA fans need to stop being bitter about the show, let it go! It's been on 3 seasons and obviously been doing good. I don't think Shonda uses GA to prop PrP I think she uses Kate for stunt ratings on GA, especially since they are no longer a ratings giant like before. Shonda knows Kate Walsh is a draw for people.
Private Practice has been so much better this year. I really don't think they need crossovers to help them, however I enjoy them so either way is fine with me.
Private Practice is a completely stand alone show to me. I used to watch both shows, enjoying the characters on each but the only show I watch now is Private Practice. It's nice to see the characters from Addison's old life pop back in- very true to real life. I used to wish Addison would return to Seattle Grace but now I'm incredibly pleased with her life at Oceanside Wellness. The characters are more mature yet stunted, the cases are way more interesting and the storyline keep me completely engaged. Something that Grey's can no longer do.
I love PP. greys is totally boring now and now issie and george are gone i hate every character except bailey. it sucks. PP rocks.
TO ALL YALL HATERS PRIVATE PRACTICE IS THE STUFF! gREY'S WHAT? gREY'S WHO? OH YEA BORING..... KATE WALSH IS THE STUFF AND SHE IS REMAKABLY AMAZING. PRIVATE PRACTICE RATINGS ARE WAY HIGHER THAN gREY'S ANATOMY... gREY'S ANATOMY NEED THIS CROSS OVER TO PUMP UP gREY'S ANATOMYS RATINGS.. EITHER WAY IT GOES KATE WALSH YET AGAIN WILL GET THE JOB DONE....SO bYE TO ALL OF THE HATER..... :P
