Exclusive 'Brothers' clip: Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman deal with an unexpected return
A years-old Hollywood joke says Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal are so interchangeable that the latter was tapped to replace the former in the "Spider-Man" series because nobody would notice.
Well, "Brothers" will make audiences sit up and take notice.
The drama, based on a Danish film from 2004, stars Maguire and Gylenhaal as, well, brothers. When the former is presumed dead in Iraq, the latter gives up his ramblin' ways to take care of Maguire's wife Natalie Portman and their children.
Maguire's character isn't dead, of course, and comes home to find Portman and Gyllenhall comfortably playing house. That doesn't sit well with anyone.
If the clip below is any indication, the film should allow all three to really stretch their dramatic skills.
