chris-brown.JPGChris Brown has released a statement in which he says the details of the incident with Rihanna should remain a private matter between the two of them.

In a statement to MTV, Chris Brown said, "While I respect Rihanna's right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best."

"I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God."

Chris Brown also told MTV correspondent Sway there was nothing that could be said by his former girlfriend that would make him nervous.

Hmph. That's probably because she's already said everything that would make him nervous. Furthermore, while we realize Chris Brown has to attempt to rehab his image after beating his girlfriend all to hell, keeping the details of domestic abuse "private" or quiet or between the two parties involved is exactly NOT what victims should be doing. Domestic violence should be reported and we don't think Chris Brown's best move right now is to say that abuse is something that should remain "private."

Make it public. It should have a light shone on it as opposed to sweeping it under the rug. He should be publicly shamed. I'm pleased to hear that his concert tour is extremely undersold. People like him don't deserve fans. Men who beat women are the scurge of the earth. I wouldn't listen to a Chris Brown song if you paid me to. I hope his new album crashes and burns and we never hear from him again.

Ha. Of course Chris Brown wants "all the details" of how he beat her up "private" because he's not really sorry. He's sorry he was caught but it seems that he hasn't grasped the seriousness of it. If he had he wouldn't make statements that are constantly all about him! I hope no one buys his records. I saw the Rihanna interview on 2o/20 and was proud of her being so candid.

He makes me sick.

I believe whenever you are arrested for something it becomes public information.

This goes to everyone, so what if he wants to keep it private, it's his and rihanna' personal life, and as rihanna said in her interview "it was my life that was made public, this was something that happened to me, and the whole world found out, this is not something i would have wanted everyone to know" everyone should stop all this bull**** now its nearly a year ago since the incident and she's also said that she started it, and yes i know that doesnt excuse chris for his actions and im not saying that what he did isnt wrong because it is, but everyone should just drop it now, their lives have been splashed all over the world, its not something you would want to happen to you so we should all just leave it alone, there are always 3 sides to a story when it comes to celebrities, chris' side, rihanna' side, and the media's side, so dont go hating, let the past be the past, peace \/ x

Friend Of A Friend, have you ever heard of a "."? Your age is showing. Maybe when you grow up, you'll learn the seriousness of this situation.

Steve...

Only someone who has done the same or similar would want this to go away. Hiding something?

Domestic abuse is horrible... I know because I watched it and experienced it first hand as a child. The whole world needs to know what kind of a man Chris Brown is and if his celebrity status is what it takes to put this issue on the forefront of peoples minds, then so be it.

Was it a private matter when he was plastered all over Larry King Live with his bowtie? This child needs to sit down and seek immediate guidance, preferably from a REAL man.

Some peolple just need to get a life of their own and stop hating on Chris Brown! AS IF RIHANNA WAS JUST SITTING THERE AND CHRIS ATTACKED HER;I WILL STILL BUY HIS CD'Z CAZ HE STILL HAS GAME!! NOT SAYING ITS COOL WHAT CHRIS DID BUT EVERY1 DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE...LOVE U CHRIS XX

He should kill himself, he's garbage.
