Carrie Underwood's best 2009 CMA look: Sequin granny pants? Broken mirror gown?

Host/performer/nominee Carrie Underwood wore at least five gowns on the Country Music Awards Wednesday (Nov. 11) night. There was a serving of leafy greens, plenty of sparkle and a strange pair of sequined granny pants. Oh dear.

Granny pants alert

Carrie performed her song "Cowboy Casanova" in strange Jessica Simpson-esque sequin granny pants at the CMAs. But somehow she still made them look sexy. Bet she could even make Jess' Mom jeans look hot.


Welcome to the fern bar

Unfortunately. Carrie looks like a philodendron here. This plant needs re-potting.


Pink slip

Carrie's asymmetrical strapped hot pink frock is pretty but it desperately needs proper fitting. Was there no tailor available?


Mirror image

Carrie arrived wearing a broken mirror gown that we think was the pick of the night. It's classic Carrie: sparkly, sexy and sleek.


Sparkle a-plenty

Onstage with CMA co-host Brad Paisley, Carrie keeps shining with a dolman sleeve sparkly sheath dress and silver strappy heels. Hey, when you have to pick so many dresses, they can't all be winners.
