Busy Philipps on Chad Michael Murray: He's a 'douche'
We love Busy Philipps.On the panel for Wednesday night's Paley Center event, celebrating the November 10th release of "'Dawson's Creek': The Complete Series" on DVD, Philipps divulged a few key pieces of information...
A) She feels her "Cougar Town" character Laurie is really just Audrey Liddell all grown up ("all" being a relative term)
B) She spent most of her time in Wilmington, North Carolina -- where "Dawson's" was shot -- drunk.
C) Chad Michael Murray was on her first flight from L.A. to North Carolina and she was super worried people would think the two of them were dating. Don't have a complete quote for you, but I know for sure her sentence ended with "...and I get stuck with this douche?"
Yes, Busy Philipps called Chad Michael Murray a douche in front of a packed house at The Paley Center for Media and when her fellow panelists reacted with a couple shocked looks, she responded by saying, "Don't worry. I'm not real worried about burning bridges with CMM."
Amazing.
For the record, Dawson -- er, um, Van Der Beek (James) -- having just worked with the Chadster on "One Tree Hill" last season, sort of stood up for him, insisting a couple times that "He's actually come a long way" ...which I suppose means that James feels Murray was once a douche, but not so much anymore?
Busy is not convinced.
After the event, she tweeted the following: Just finished the dawson's creek panel. Maybe I was too harsh on chadM2... Nah.

unprofessional? The problem is that you are holding them to your profession's standard of professionalism! It's entertainment people, get over it! Frankly, this is not the first time that I have heard Chad Michael Murray is well, a douche! Ok, well maybe not that word but hey you have to love Busy Phillips! Sorry she is funny and seems a bit more down to earth than Murray!
nope i disagree. Chad could do the same thing and bash Busy publicly for attention; but he chooses not too and doesn't let what other people think affect him. That right there makes him the better person in my eyes.

LOL, love it! The guy is a douche! You can just tell by the faces he makes and his attitude, not to mention what he did to Sophia and Hilary! I'm a big OTH fan, and honestly he should have gotten an Emmy for that role, because he managed to make me love Luke and I hated Chad! I love that someone finally said it! Go Busy!
Why would she be jealous? He's not even on OTH anymore and she's got a show now. And are you really insulting her body? Not like he's some god. And no, he probably can't bash ANYONE he's worked with, cuz then it'd leave him open to professional and personal criticism from all his former castmates. I'm not saying he's a monster, but yeah, you just know he's a douche and I'm glad she called him on it. He needs to know.

and "A", Chad and Hilarie are very good friends in IRL and he got along with most of the OTH cast, so I have no idea what your talking about.
This is the real world people, your not going to like everyone you work with.
But that doesn't give you right to act childish about it. Especially since it happened like 9-10 years ago.
