Amy Heckerling ready to jump into vampire genre with 'Vamps'
Krysten Ritter ("Breaking Bad," "Confessions of a Shopaholic") may be the latest actress to jump on "all things vampire," according to Screen Daily.
Ritter will be making that leap with "teen rite of passage" writer/director Amy Heckerling, in a romantic comedy called "Vamps."
The film is reportedly a modern-day tale of two young female vampires living the good life in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality. Ritter plays one of the vamps, but no word on the other female lead.
Is it just us, but can you hardly wait? It's been a while since we got a Heckerling fix that will add more pop into the pop culture lexicon.

Is the "can you hardly wait" a reference to the awesome teen movie "Can't Hardly Wait"? Because it wasn't directed by Heckerling. Anyways, yah, I can't hardly wait for more teen vamps, as long as they lean towards the "Near Dark" camp, instead of the Twilight fluff. So there! ;-)
Wow, I guess when she was in Breaking Bad (where she looked hot) they made sure not to shoot her nose from that angle. What a honker!
As for the vampire stuff: Blood Ties was good, but everything since has been crap.
